successhungry: It simply means they are awaiting your school to give further verification to your certificate and transcript received, from your school registra via email or fax. You either visit your school registra or ask someone go on your behalf, ask them to help you respond to WES if they have received the verification mail. Goodluck! 2 Likes |

successhungry:I would read that to mean they are still awaiting verification from your school. If you can afford to give them a phone call to supply the details of the sent verification, do so. Otherwise, you can shoot them another email providing them with the date (and every necessary detail) that the verification was sent. I would also request an expedited resolution of the issue considering the length of time that has already lapsed. Good luck! 3 Likes |

Congratulations. Was your profile created with spouse unaccompanying? Why the ADR for consent to allow child migrate? If yes, what reason did you give for spouse unaccompanying? katyamizotta: |

Hi All, I am new on this forum but have been silently reading from the first page. I am applying via CEC inland stream, I am a bit confused on how to answer this question " have you ever been married or been in a common law relationship?" Background- I came to Canada as a student. I was married traditionally under customary law in my country. I was never married legally in the registry or in the church. No change of name. No marriage certificate to present. As at the time I was applying for my study permit, I mentioned being traditionally married. Under customary law, a dowry or bride price is paid. In 2015, the bride price was returned to my ex. Under the law, once its returned, the relationship is dissolved. There is no divorce certificate to be issued just a letter and affidavit from my father to the man's father acknowledging return of bride price and dissolution of the customary marriage. Since I came to Canada I have been applying as single. I am now applying for my PR under a single status. My confusion- Should I answer yes to this question " have you ever been married or been in a common law relationship?" and then in the LOE explain that it was a traditional marriage including the dissolution letter from my dad? Should I answer No and also explain in the LOE that I was traditionally married but chose to answer NO because there is no marriage certificate or even a divorce certificate but also include the dissolution letter from my dad. The traditional marriage was never registered in a customary court or anywhere. |

Bubuyaya2015: my take is that trad will fall under common law if both of you lived together for at least 1 year and had things in common ....eg a child, bank account, etc. also to the best of myknowledge there is no divorce process for common law partners. The LOE would suffice, and explain it was a traditional dowry payment( tone down the marriage word if u must) and show proof that it was also customarily dissolved as best as you can. best of luck 3 Likes |

Yeah, i tried this later but the placeholder pop-up for UK still remained there, I even uploaded my naij PCC there in error and cant seem to remove it as I am required to replace it with another document. Dont know what I will do about that yet AyeMayBe: |

If this is the case, why is ACCA (fully certified), still evaluated as 4-year bachelors degree and not as masters degree; I have always wondered that considering to get a masters in applied accounting, all you need to do is write a project after passing your professional courses. smslive2: |

1.....how best can I show proof of relationship to a half sibling(same dad) who I am claiming points from when the person doesn't have a birth certificate? 2......is a car purchase invoice proof enough for presence in Canada? i.e as a utility bill |

If I were in your shoes I would replace it with an LOE stating again that the degree was by correspondence and that you never resided in the UK during your studies. You may also attach any other evidence indicating that it was a distance/online program. Newbeecey: 4 Likes |

Bubuyaya2015: If you had not previously represented to them that you were once married, I would have suggested that you go with ”single” to avoid long explanations. As it is, I think the two arms of the question should be read disjunctively in which case you should answer yes to being married before. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you were married under common law. You can always put in an LOE to explain that it was under native law and custom which neither grants a marriage certificate nor a divorce certificate. HTH 2 Likes |

So i am very confused and dunno if I should request for an EOR. Here’s my result Reading 9.0 Listening 9.0 Writing 7.0 Speaking 7.5 The writing has removed about 6 points from my generated crs score. I’m just confused. 10 Likes |
