Hi guys,

I have an MSc from Unilag. Though I haven't collected the certificate, I have the Letter of Attestation.

Can I use that for WES ECA?

And which is more advisable for accessing Unilag degree - WES or IQAS?

You can use the letter of attestation .the type of degree depend which will be better. Most people whose degree aint professional or Lawyers use WES.

I don't think WES accept LoA. Get your transcripts and MSc certificate from UNILAG. Not difficult at all.

Hello everyone. I have been following the thread and I must say it has been really helpful.
I am a 30yrs old married female with a child. I did my ielts in June and had a score of lrws-8.5,8,6.5,8. Right now my CRS stands at a mere 371 so I am looking at the pnp route.
Now I want to know if there is anyone who is a member of the Chatered Institute of Arbitrators and if you had your CIArb certificate evaluated? If yes does that mean I can claim points for 2 post secondary certificates?

WES accepts attestation in place of certificate. Many people here have confirmed this. I can confirm too.

Rewrite IELTS and aim for 7.5 in writing while maintaining the scores for all the other components.

You can also get a maximum of 30points from your spouse if he has Master's degree and IELTS LWRS 8777

Go for EOR, if you have spare cash, enrol again for IELTS while they are still processing your EOR. Best of luck.

Why not go for a remark, maybe you could up your score. I wonder having LRS of 8 minimum and your W6.5, remark is what i would first consider(Subjectively), especially if i perceive i deserve better.

You don't need to go the PNP route with your age(perfect age). Write IELTS again and get your husband to write as well. Good luck

I'm new here...Thanks for this thread so far. My situation right now is that, my agent and i had a discussion on Canadian permanent residence for my husband, daughter and i, he said he would do it for 3.5 and we started the process, after a year and half i got a call from him for biometrics, we went to Lagos for biometrics, but when the visa came out, it was mine that got approved and guess what I got? Visitor's visa. The issue now is that my husband and daughter weren't given. He promised to do it and ask my husband to come for another biometrics but He's requesting for 3.5 million for visitor's visa. I'm think in of going to canada first and if there's a way I can legally stay in the country and bring my husband and daughter legally. OR should I wait for him to do my hubby's own, then go together and claim asylum? Pls I really need a useful advice right now, I'm seriously in a dilemma

This is so sad!!!!

3.5M would have gone a very long way!

Please dont even think of aasylum

Learn from your mistakes and move on.
Salvage whatever cash you can get back from the agent and don't tell him your plan. Just say you are not doing it again. Lastly I wouldn't use that visa if I were you

Please try to go through the documents the agent used to process your Visa to check if any false information was used. This is to avoid having conflicting information when you decide to process your PR by yourself.
Also take time to read through this thread especially page 1. You need to pause, gather your thoughts and know where you stand before taking the next step. I wish you well.

PS: forget about claiming asylum please.

First of all, gather all the details and evidence of the transaction and make a police report against this agent because he has duped you.
The purpose is not to pursue the case but to have evidence to submit to CIC.
You are better off starting the process afresh on your own. The problem is that this guy may have submitted false info on your behalf and any application you submit now may introduce contradictory information. This is where the police report comes in.
In addition, I will advise when you apply with your correct details, you should write a detailed LOE (Letter of Explanation) and attach all the evidence of you have. That may just be the only way for you to get out of this.
You are actually caught between full disclosure in your application or just applying afresh and providing the information when they ask. I would go with full disclosure.
Forget Asylum. You will regret it.

Bon Courage
