Cybercrimes are on the rise and, to be honest, most of us are still a little lax when it comes to online security. Sometimes, however, as it became painfully apparent during the recent Facebook scandal, it does not even have to be you who is careless.
Let’s take a look at what happened there as a cautionary tale. Around a quarter of million people used an app that was phrased as a personality quiz. What they did not know, however, was that the app allowed a marketing company access to their info and the info of connected accounts.
