HMMM. Thank you. i was going to wait till NOV to bag 8 yrs experience and forget about including NYSC year. with what you've said now,i will have to still wait till nov and then add NYSC for their deduction.
Prolivingproof:

That 1year period is used to calculate the qualifying period for you to meet the skill level of the nominated occupation. so they must deduct at least 1year as qualifying period, in some cases more than one year may be deducted.

My question to you now is " what occupation did you fill in your EOI and your SA application?
what supporting document did you provide for the nomination?
this message is from SA right?

I filled hardware technician 313111 and in my SA application I also filled sane.
My supporting documents were my letters from both companies where I worked, skilled assessment outcome, personal statement
Yes the message is from SA

Its possible the conflict is from your reference letter then?
System Admin & IT support engineer must have been stated on them. is it the same you used for TRA?

If yes, can you get this update to reflect Hardware technician.

Also. when filling your work experience claims in EOI, what Job title did you use "Hardware tech" or System Admin & IT support engineer".

All title must be same across all forms and document

It's good its SA is flagging this for you before DHA

Do you need to make AUD payments for tuition, skilled assessment, visa application, or bank deposits in Australia? Austransaction is your best bet.

They are reliable, flexible, patient, and swift. They will deliver to you with impeccable customer relations.

100%, nothing beats that.

Yes it's the same I used for TRS and got the successful outcome.Thats you mean get the update from my organization to read hardware technician, if that's the question, then it's impossible, cos I practically begged and begged before they even did that one for me.
I used system administrator and IT support engineer when filling my claims on EOI...
So do I just edit it on EOI to hardware technician? Also should I edit the employment to No as recommended by SA?

If that's impossible and you are not claiming points for this experience?
Then no need to be bothered.
Just mark them as irrelevant and you are home dry.
You wont even need to submit the reference with your application.

If you update it to know, would it affect you claimed point? If yes would u still qualify to be nominated by SA?

Your state nomination case Officer is making sense because of the difference in major grouping unit of both occupations, but I think most people that have gone the TRA way before now had similar cases. With their actual job title not so in tandem with the nominated title.

Let them comman chook mouth if they ever claimed experience with DIBP.

I think the title of you job shouldn't be the focus. Politely write to SA and explain to them that these are the terms used at your organisation but what you do is actually the role of hardware technician. Buttress that fact with your TRA outcome and here what they have to say.

Will having the assessment now and while in the pool skill select awards you extra 5points for experience come November not something to consider?

But if you are comfortable waiting till Nov, that's fine.

I'll advice you use this period of waiting to get 20pts in English.

I totally agree with Wapu on this. Carry on with your assessment which can take months while November is about 5month away. If your still in the same employment by then, nothing changes, the skill select system recognises your work anniversary automatically and awards your point accordingly.

You might only just decide to wait till July to be sure of what DHA have in stock for skilled migrants and occupation updates.

Best wishes

[Hello , if you find help with your CdR kindly let me know who helped you so i can approach the person. My husband just wrote his CDR but we need someone to help us check it outo if it's nice enough to be submitted to EA for telecommunicationa engineer quote author=Idiebube110 post=68040268]Hi everyone, many thanks to Chief Bellong and all our elders here for the constant helps and support, I appreciate you all a whole lot.

Please I need help in writing my career episodes for my EA assessment. I studied Electrical and Electronics Eng'g and I intend assessing without work experience (although I've got 5 years experience), as I've been doing private electrical designs and inverter installations without employment/tax documents. Please do I fill Electrical Engineer as my engineering occupation or Engineering Technologist? I'd really appreciate any assistance with the career episodes format from anyone, especially my fellow Electrical Engineers.

Thank you!

This one is too tough for me.

Let the engineers tell you if you need experience to be successful in assessment.

Check the requirement for customer service manager of it's in line with what you do.

Good day Dear Nairalanders, I am a HR Professional with 7 years experience in the HR field. I also have 1 year experience in Recycling.

What are my chances of getting a job in Australia through express skill programme?

Thanks

Good day sir,

Do you in any way manage the IT operations as part of your duties? If yes, you may look at ICT Manager which will require five years experience based on your degree being unrelated. You can get nomination for 489 from South Australia with 60points.

Well you don't need post graduate experience to get positive assessment from EA, he can prepare the requires career episodes based on experience from IT/SIWES period, school projects etc.

All need good writing and vetting before submission.

Hello house, you are all doing a very wonderful job here.

I'm new to this thread but not entirely new. I've read the 1st thread till the last page and I've read this all through too.

My husband is to be the primary applicant . We are both graduates of Electronics and Computer Engineering. He has the upper hand cos he's been working in a telecoms firm for 6+ years.

We are currently preparing for his Pte exams. We have been reading and practising together , lol. He's to take the exams in June. We hope for 20points. Please anyone with genuine study pack for pte should quote me.I have a little problem with the nairaland massaging thing though, I don't seen to know how to send messages with it.

After the pte, we hope he gets accessed by EA as a telecoms enginger. Please anyone who has been accessed as a telecoms engineer with EA should kindly give me a better outlook of what his CDR and Summary should look like. Biko, na beg I dey beg all of u my seniors in the house .

Also anyone who's just starting can please message me so we will roll together. Especially engineers . So we can always rub minds and share ideas. Abeg.

Thank you all.

May we all succeed together. Ameen

Age -25
English-20(you need this since you'll not be claiming experience pt)
Education-15(I'm assuming you did a five years course incase your school isn't a tier 1)

Total is 60pts

190 and most probably 489 will favour you.

Visit https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/For-Migrants/Migration-Skills-Assessment

Download the MSA booklet, read it thoroughly. There are requirements and step by step info on preparing assessment documents. Once you've digested the booklet you can come and clarify whatever seems confusing from engineers on the thread.
