Firstly I tried stimulating the overall points I had around 65 even with the 0 points for language. Don't know if I miscalculated. Will read more on PTE-A.

Thanks so much

What's the course of study for your MSc and perusal. Please go through it thoroughly. What I can't advice is whether your should use your MSc so that you can gain more points in experience, or use your PhD for higher points in qualifications. @tunlex01 will assist you with any The English test alone will give you extra 5 points. If he can do assessment for his occupation, you'll get 10 points in total.

Course of study is 4years
Account officer and Relationship Manager and Credit Officer.

Age: 32 ✔️

Edu: BLS library and information Science (from which university and how many years is the course of study?) ❌

Exp: 9 years in total (what exactly is your occupation?) Banking experience is vague. Also, note that your occupation must be on ANZSCO occupation list. So, you have to go through the list and check for that occupation that relates to what you do. ❌

Eng: yet to write ✔️

Relationship: Single ✔️

That's good. Note that VETASSESS will count your years of experience from the date you complete your PhD. If your PhD is 2017, your work experience becomes 3 years.

What are our options please ?

Nenyeroz1:
Hello everyone! Today is my first day of posting on Nairaland but the forum has always been my go-to info site since I started researching study and migration abroad. For years, I've read true life stories of success, courage, faith but above all, I've silently followed the suggestions, advice, encouragements...of well-meaning "strangers" practically propelled people to success on this forum.

You guys are amazing cool cool

So now, I have come with my own isH(£

sueD. I'll try and be brief

My family (husband, me and our 4 year old son) has decided to migrate to Australia but we don't really know what our chances at PR are. So, please help us out with clarity

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

I am 34 years old
I studied B.A Education English(2011)
I have been teaching English Language Phonetics at a private secondary school, but as an auxiliary staff, since 2013 till date.

My husband is 36 years old
He studied BSc Economics/Political Science(2007) and Master of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (2014)
He has been working with the Rescue and Disaster Management department of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) since 2010 till date.

I don't have any tax documents or salary bank statements due to the nature of my employment

Please I'll like to know who, between my husband and I, would be able to get more points and also which Visa options are better, given our circumstances.

I already have an IELTS score of 6.5 (Competent English) but I plan on writing another IELTS and assessing our credentials this October, so that we can join the first set applying for the new 491 Regional Skilled Work Visa.
Please reply

God bless you all

you can assess as a Mechanical engineer. Just do the educational assessment without the RSEA since you dont have a related experience.
Possibility of getting 190 with zero experience is super low. If you can get 20 points in English language, then you can proceed with EA and lean towards 491 if it's available for nomination.

Thanks boss. I just checked for RSEA and I guess the: "Australian Engineering Qualification Assessment" is the one I will go for since I have zero work experience in the Engineering field? What's the difference between the Fee Inc. GST and Fee Exc. GST?

Good morning good people,

Is there chances for visa subclass 491 with the following information:

Age - 42 yrs

Qualification - Bsc pharmacy and Msc clinical pharmacy

Work Experience: over 8Yrs work experience as a pharmacist

Married ( 3 kids)

No IELTS yet, just about to start the whole journey

Can I apply as a Pharmacy technician as the job description align with what have been doing even though my offer letter state pharmacist.

Thanks in anticipation.

You can apply as a Pharmacy technician; aligning your roles to fit that of a technician and not a pharmacist. That offer letter may need to be tweaked cos Vetassess will not approve a pharmacist for a technician.

Do you have pension, salary bank statement, payslips and tx statement for all the years?

You also did not state your spouse's details.

"Banking experience" is vague and not specific. You need to specify what you do in those banks

Edited

I just saw your response to @ajayidebo, relationship officer is not on the list. It's a bit related to "Marketing specialist but not the same.
@ajayidebo asked for your University but no response on that.

I'll advise you try Student visa option or any other country.

Hi,

Is there a way I can access Aussie PR by going for an MSc program over there since my qualifications and work experience can't access subclass 190 and 189?

Possible, as long as you study a PR related course. Although there are no guarantees due to the increased number of students seeking PR.

Your profile is good. The next step is to do assessment and in your case, write another English Test. What you have presently is 0 point. You should try PTE-A for 20points (i.e. >79 in all bands). Your visa options ranges from 189, 190 and 491. You have a lot of options depending on your overall points.

What's the course of study for your MSc and PhD? Also, what do you lecture?

I've attached VETASSESS information sheet on assessment as University Lecturer for your perusal. Please go through it thoroughly. What I can't advice is whether your should use your MSc so that you can gain more points in experience, or use your PhD for higher points in qualifications. @tunlex01 will assist you with any missing information necessary when he's chanced.

You should also check if your spouse occupation is available for assessment. The English test alone will give you extra 5 points. If he can do assessment for his occupation, you'll get 10 points in total.

You have done well bro. I have also responded.

it's different for everyone. There is no easier or faster process. What's easy for you maybe difficult for others and vice versa.

Choose the one you have a better chance at securing ITA and trust your guts.

You can apply for Pharmacy Technician. BTW, you do have a chance for 491. Before the lock down, Northern Territory was accepting nomination for 491. NSW is also accepting but with minimum of 5 years work experience under stream 2.

Quick questions:

1. What year did you attain your BSc (what University/number of years) and Msc?
2. Work experience is from what year?

Welldone bro. In his case, he does not need those questions. Pharmacy is always a 5 year course in Nigeria.

He would not need to submit his MSc to Vetassess cos that would not help his assessment since he's assessing for a level 3 occupation.

Your Pgde will not give you a positive assessment with AITSL. BSc in Education is compulsory.
Your spouse can also not assess as a Tax Accountant because Australian tax is different from Nigerian tax, however if he can tweak his documents for General Accountant/Management Accountant/Management consultant; that may work.

Does he work in any of the big 4s?
what month is his 45 birthday?

Yes, the first one. You will need English result and write CDR to assess.

GST inclusive (Sales tax -like VAT in Nigeria) is for people applying to EA here. Since you are in Nigeria, you will be paying 265 (that's excluding GST)

The fees you quoted are for those with Australian degree, and if your degree is not from Washington accord or Dublin accord, you're to write a CDR which is more than that figure.

anzscosearch.com/search

The relevance is that, for a skill level 1 occupation BSc is the minimum requirement. For instance, VETASSESS only recognise BSc from Tier 1 universities like Unilag. If your university is not classify as Tier 1, then it has to be a 5 years program. If it's not, the BSc will be graded as equivalent to their Associate Degree and not BSc.

Did you see @tunlex01 response? He already provided insight on your qualifications. So, your BSc is enough for assessment. Do not include MSc.

Your estimated points:

Age - 15

Qualification - 15

Work Experience: 10/15

Married: 5 (your spouse should write English Test and score at least 50 in all bands for PTE of 6 in all bands for IELTS)

491: 15

English: 10/20

Total: Between 70 - 85 points. (85 points if the assessor approved your 8 years experience and your achieve 20 Points in English).

The ball is in your court.

What you should do is go through anzscosearch.com/search and search for occupation that is closely related to your occupation. You'll find options like laboratory technician, laboratory scientist etc. Job title is not really important, job description is.

Your Bsc is good.
Years of work experience is also good.
