Hello everyone
Pls i need advice. I lodged my visa application oct 2022 and I'm still awaiting grant. The prob now is that my medicals expired on d 20th of oct. Do i need to do another medicals or do i wait for my CO to request before i go for another one. Will d expired medicals affect my chances of getting a grant?
For medicals, you will have to wait for a CO contact.

Hello everyone,

Please is this still valid for 2023-2024 migration? I have EOI 491 and 190 for Vic but I want to do 491 for SA.

Can I use the same email?

Also is the family sponsored 491 visa still active ? I can't find it anywhere except in the picture attached. I have family in Australia who is suggesting I do that since it will get me 5 more points.
Yes, it's still valid and depends on your occupation list.
For MLTSSL
One EO1 for 189, another 8 for 190 for each state and another 8 for 491 for each state (this is applicable if you are open to all the 3 visas and you have up to 65 points for each of them)

For STSOL
8 EOIs for 190 for each state and another 8 for 491

For ROL
8 EOI for each state.

Then proceed to check the state migration websites to check if your occupation is on their list and you meet their requirements.

Family Sponsored 491 will give you 15 points but your family member must be living in a regional area and be PR or citizen and you must be related. You just need to select it on your EOI

Thank you again! Family (uncle) meets all of these as he is a citizen in a regional area. I’m going to create a new EOI for SA now. I think only SA and VIC accepts my occupation- Insurance Agent(ROL)

1. For the EOI, I already have- I will edit, remove 491 for ViC, create another EOI choosing 491 and use the new EOI reference to create a new 491 ROI for VIC. Cool?

2. Then create 491 family sponsored EOI and use the reference for SA ROI - 491 cool ?

3. Search again for any state that accepts Insurance agent, ends and repeat.

Hello everyone,

My skills assessment for ICT Security Specialist came out negative because "my bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering did not have enough computing requirements" although all my Info Sec experience from 2015 till date were accepted. I'm really not sure how else to go about this except the RPL route which I don't think I'm ready for.

Just want to thank @tunlex01 and @Bellong for their tremendous help. God Bless you both
Sorry to hear about your negative outcome. I have a few question which might shed some light to your case.

1. Can you post a screenshot of your assessment result removing any personal details?
2. How many ICT units did you undertake as part of your degree? Can you list them including the unit code? Does it have at least 33% of ICT content? Or is the ICT content at least two thirds of your degree?

I always advise people who have engineering degree and want to apply for ACS assessment to also submit a course profile. This is because there are some courses which might include ICT content but not listed as ICT in your transcript, hence, ACS would miss this. You can always get a course profile from your university.

You can go for a review once you lay your hands on your course profile. I am almost certain that there is enough ICT content in an ELect/Elect degree from Covenant University.

PS: I have just google elect/elect courses at Covenant university and I can see a lot of your courses are related to ICT. However, because of their naming convention ACS might not know they are ICT courses. Hence, the reason why it is very important to provide a course profile along with your application. Please get your course profile and go for a review.

I was just coming here to share my concern about the negative outcome with ACS too. I studies elect/elect ND and HND at Lagos State polytechnic.

Feedback is

Your Na􀤘onal Diploma in Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology from Lagos State
Polytechnic completed October 2007 has been assessed as not recognized and therefore does not
meet the requirements of the ACS as stated in the policy manual

" Your Higher Na􀤘onal Diploma in Electrical - Electronics Engineering Technology from Lagos State
Polytechnic completed September 2010 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Advanced
Diploma with insufficient compu􀤘ng content and therefore does not meet the requirements of the
ACS as stated in the policy manual."

And for work experience, I uploaded random payslip for each year I worked with each organization. The feedback is: " Not Assessable Due to Insufficient Documenta􀤘on"

Its quite confusing

hemekhar brace up and apply for a review and give this advice a short first by providing your course profile. If this still doesn't work, then come back and I will provide you another option if worst comes to worst.

Since ACS has not recognized your ND and used only your HND, then i believe there won't be enough ICT content in your elect/elect HND. The reason is, if you have a 2 years diploma, ACS requires 50% of your courses to have ICT content. If you have 1 year diploma, they require 100% of your courses to have ICT content. Hence, the reason for the insufficient ICT content.

Regarding your work experience, you need more than just payslips. You also need to provide one of the following third part evidence such as, Tax Certificate, Banks statement, Superannuation or Insurance documents.

You should have read the ACS guidelines properly before proceeding with your assessment.

I have similar situation. @Remix01, @vbabs, @Tunlex01, @Dollytee007, @Vincentosa
Am request to submit tax documents from Lagos State from my office, but my office is based in Abuja, during my stay in Lagos from 2008 till 2013 I worked in private firms and they don't have tax of pension scheme for workers, so I have no tax documents from Lagos State during that period, but my current job from 2013 till date with a reputable construction company has pension and tax, I guess they just have seen that from my payslip because they asked for Lagos State and delta state tax documents under my current job name, not under the name of the companies I worked during my stay in Lagos, I never worked in Delta, I only lived there as my place of birth.

Please I need someone to guide me on the best way to reply, I don't know if they are asking for this current job tax documents?

it should be for the current job cos Skills assessment only covers experience within the last 10 years. (ACS is an exception for people go through RPL)

So provide the tax statement or pension from 2013 till date from FIRS (being an FCT resident) to the assessor and add a few lines in the comment box explaining that tax is based on the location of the worker in Nigeria.

Did you read the MSA booklet before applying because this was stated clearly as one of the key requirements.

No due to your qualification. You will need at least 6 years experience for ACS except you have an occupation that's assessed by Vetassess (they require 12 months experience only)

Update For Teachers - November 2023
*SC means scenario, ITE means Initial Teacher education
SC1: B.Ed from Tier 1 University = positive assessment. (AQF 7 + ITE)✅
SC2: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + Pgde = Negative assessment (AQF 6 + ITE)❌
SC3: B.Ed from Tier 2 University (4 year course) + M.Ed = negative assessment (AQF 6)❌
SC4: BSc or B.A from Tier 2 University (4 years course) + Pgde = likely positive assessment (AQF 6 +ITE)✅
SC5: B.Sc/BTech/BEng from Tier 2 University (5 years course) + Pgde = positive assessment (AQF 7 + ITE)✅
SC6: BSc/BA/BTech/BEng from a Tier 1 University + Pgde = positive (AQF 7 + ITE)✅

If you have NCE and you graduated from a tier 1 Uni, pls do not include the NCE details in your application.

YOu are not eligible then as your first degree is AQF 6 - Associate degree. AITSL requires first qualification to be AQF 7 - bachelors degree

update; pls give it a shot
The evidence I have is for people with NCE or BEd from tier 2 qualification.
Your degree + Pgde may fly.

@laurelbae, so I don’t debar you from assessing, pls give it a go with AITSL. Since you have a Pgde with that’s AQF 8. I’m hopeful it will pass.
