dear gurus, please help my friend, he is considering assessing his occupation with vetasses. However, he has his first degree in microbiology and has an MBA. he has 2years of experience as corporate service manager. My question is; can he get a positive assessment considering his first degree is unrelated to his selected occupation. Kindly advise. Please note that he has never practiced microbiology before. your comment is highly apppreciated. |

Just need clarification. When filling EOI for both 190 and 489, is it d same EOI for both of them or separate EOIs? You need to fill an Expression Of interest for both 190 and 489. This link will guide you. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/lega/lega/form/immi-faqs/what-is-an-expression-of-interest
|

whodeyhere: The key is, how he can convince the assessment officer that his occupation is corporate services manager by streamlining his duties against the ANZSCO descriptions. The MBA should give him a soft landing in terms of qualification but the main thing are his job descriptions. |

Hi everyone, I have HND in electrical engineering, 5years+ experience as an electrical engineering technician, 28years and IELTS Score L7, R9, S8, W6. I need advice on which state I can go or what to do next. Thanks |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 6:53am On Oct 17, 2018 |
olajidela: For a start, assess with TRA as an electrician or Electrical Engineering Technician whichever is easy for you. Rewrite the English test to score at least 7 in each band. If your result is very recent, I suggest you request for a remark. Start from the opening page and read through. You have very high chance bro.. Age: 30 points. Education: 10 points Experience: 5 points (to be conservative, you can still get up to 10 depending on the outcome of your assessment). English: 10 points (7 in each band) or 20points (8 in each band) Total: 55 points (489 visa) or 70 points (189/190 visa) The ball is in your court. Strive for 20 points in English and articulate your experience to be able to retain your 5years after assessment. 5 Likes |

Please house, i need a suggestion on how to handle GST exemption for vetasess. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 6:10am On Oct 18, 2018 |
tomimy1: You don't need any strategy as long as your residential address is not in Australia. You only pay GST if you reside in Australia. |

tomifizi: I don't know what you have, but if you got it from the tax office, you shouldnt have any problem. You can also try to validate it online. You can verify with your payer ID or receipt number. http://www.lasg-ebs-rcm.com/Home/Validate |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 9:08am On Oct 18, 2018 |
tomimy1: Were you sent an email requesting for GST exemption? You shouldn't be asked provided the address you supplied is outside Australia. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 9:16am On Oct 18, 2018 |
Bossladyorigina: You can only wait for the state to get back to you. State nomination is a state by state thing. If there are other states nominating your occupation, you can apply there as well. 2 Likes |

I need clarification as per the points for each sub visa class. What I know is 55 for 190 Visa. Please help! Someone just quoted what I av below. ''Total: 55 points (489 visa) or 70 points (189/190 visa)'' The ball is in your court. Strive for 20 points in English and articulate your experience to be able to retain your 5years after assessment.
@ bellong and other Ogas in the house |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 12:46pm On Oct 18, 2018 |
@Avangard, A minimum of 65 points is required to be invited to apply for Visa irrespective of the subclass. Therefore, for a 489 visa, you need at least 55 points as the state will add 10 points while for a 190, 60 points is required as a minimum with the state adding 5 points. The statement you quoted was written to address another person's situation. 1 Like |

Bossladyorigina: Are you onshore? If you are not in Australia, Queensland only require 80points and 5yrs post qualification experience. If you get 20 points in English, you can get 5 points to make it 80 for Queensland. @Paulooma, ACS guys will advice you. |

@Avangard, I don't know what tier UNILAG is. |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Bossladyorigina: 2:23pm On Oct 18, 2018 |
I am offshore. I will rewrite English to improve my score to 20. That way, my cumulative point will be 80 (inclusive of state nomination). Queensland website shows you must show proof of employment offer. bellong: |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 2:34pm On Oct 18, 2018 |
Bossladyorigina: Oh ok... Do the English test to increase your chance of a faster invitation. If you are married, you can get 5 points from spouse if the occupation is on the same list. A positive assessment of your spouse's skills will add 5 points. |

Hello House, The ACS team has mailed me to submit the RPL Project Report Document along with additional fees. At that outset, I'm looking for few samples which could help me out to write my document. (I'm fully aware, I should not be using anything from any document or internet sources as that would be considered plagiarism.) Please house, help me with RPL sample to guide me. cc @bellong, @Azy123, @ZoeW, @Alphadoor |

paulooma: on the RPL samples, what anzsco code did you nominate? on the MSCE, It seems you got it in March 2015? and it maybe the reason why ACS is suggesting RPL so you can claim that vital 5pts |
