Job Profile

We are searching for a talented, smart, and experienced Data Engineer to help us build an exceptional platform to support business reporting, data analysis, and machine learning applications. Our ideal candidate will be expected to contribute to in the development and deployment of innovative big data platforms for advanced analytics and data processing. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal solutions to use for these purposes, then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. He / She will also be responsible for integrating them with the architecture used across the company.
As a Data Engineering Lead, a typical day might include the following:

 Support a platform that provides ad-hoc access to large datasets.
 Develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity. Provide design support for the development of analytical solutions
 Extracting and combining data from various heterogeneous data sources.
 Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and developing new datasets and data driven products.
 Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self- service support for customers
 Identify, gather, and assure data quality as well as design and develop automated data collecting processes using a wide range of tools and techniques

 Have demonstrable working knowledge in modern distributed architectures and compute / data analytics / storage technologies on AWS, Open Source or related technologies.
 Have demonstrable working knowledge of relational databases and the top-level ability to run interpret, debug, model advanced SQL queries for large data sets
 Have excellent organization and problem-solving skills.


 Working knowledge of Data Visualization toolset: Microsoft Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau.
 Experience and coding proficiency working with Python, R.
 Practical experience with data mining and statistical learning techniques such as logistic regression, Naïve Bayes, SVM, decision trees, market basket analysis or neural networks.
 Interest in Data Science and its commercial application
 Experience with messaging and streaming platforms (Kafka/RabbitMQ/JMS/etc.).
 Understanding of architectural principles and design patterns / styles using parallel large-scale distributed frameworks such as Hadoop / Spark
