Nigeria finest female Disc Jockey, DJ Nana celebrate s her birthday today 14th may.

Nanayat Abedoh , popularly and professionally known as DJ nana is an award winning, young, vibrant and hardworking Disc Jockey, she is among the first female DJs in Nigeria and currently rated as the best by many, with several years of experience and awards.

The celebrity Disc Jockey hails from Okene, Kogi State – Nigeria. Best described as a free spirit, dedicated and a hardworking Diva, DJ Nana has been nominated for and won several awards; she was nominated at the maiden edition of African Global DJs Award in the best female DJ category in 2013, she was nominated and won the best female DJ categories at the best female category at the 2015 Behind awards and the Beatz awards. She was also nominated in the best female category at the Nigeria entertainment awards in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Nanayat’s journey so far has been evidence that hard work, determination and persistence truly pays. From the days when female DJs had to be tomboys to survive the male dominated profession, DJ Nana was able to stand out as a Diva and a DJ proving that gender is not a determinant of skills and ability; especially when it comes to being a Disc Jockey.

DJ Nana is currently a DJ with one of Africa’s biggest radio stations, Naija FM and was recently featured in the international US news paper, The Daily Times where she was described as Nigeria’s top female DJ.
