Leaders are determined people by nature. Imagine that all the children try climbing a tree or any other structure but because it is slippery, they keep dropping off. Each shouts mummy and decides to play with something else. Eventually, the shortest one among them climbs the tree and stays right there although it was slippery. That simple story tells us which one of those children has the greatest manifestation of leadership life.

Don’t cultivate the habit of running away from obstacles or difficulty. Too many of us have been fed on diet of quitting, once we face anything tough we look for something easy. Sometimes in life, what finishes the job is not skill, it is just that determination to stay there and keep doing what you must do. Life will get to a place that it is no more exciting, you just keep doing what you must do until the job is finished and it is leaders that have that. Most people would have given up and turned away, most times before the blessings and the breakthrough come, many people have left.

If you give up on friendship and you don’t work out differences and all that, you will give up on marriage too. When you find a direction to go, be determined to stay there. We win many of life’s rewards by learning how to hang in there and work at it till the very end. Apostle Paul’s counsel that having done all to stand, stand therefore” (Eph. 6:13b, 14a) is very relevant to this requirement of acquiring the leadership life.



PRAYER: Lord, I pray for strength to stand and stand through all that I have started even amid discouragements, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
