It has been reported by the Canadian Government that economic immigrants who are highly skilled earn more than the average Canadian’s annual income not long after they arrive Canada. The Canadian Press secured this information through an Access to Information request. In this report, the economic and social activities of new immigrants were assessed.

According to the Canadian Press, account shows that all immigrants generally are doing well economically. However, highly skilled immigrants tend to do better in all. They earn annual incomes on par with or more than the national average not long after they arrive in Canada. Some of the managerial and professional positions in Canada are often occupied by immigrants from the economic class.

It was also discovered that newcomers who become citizens of Canada, usually feel this sense of belonging than people who were born there and those that are yet to gain their citizenship.
