We are seeking a Brand Communications Strategist to join a renowned brand-led design agency based in Lagos. As a Brand Communications Strategist, you will be responsible for the following:

o Lead the development of a master communications strategy approach for clients across all markets
o Develop high quality proposals to clients driven by qualitative and quantitative data and insights that inform and refine client’s strategic communications objectives
o Work with other teams to ensure the alignment of the communications strategy with clients’ brand story both at master brand and sub brand level
o Work with other teams to ensure campaign level communications strategy is aligned with the master strategic approach for all key calendar moments, sub brands and stand-alone initiatives
o Work with cross functional teams to facilitate and support the delivery of communications strategy for clients
o Actively demonstrate the value of the brand communications function to the wider marketing team and peers within the business
o Work alongside team members to educate and upskill the wider marketing team in communications strategy and develop tools to enable the team to independently understand, develop and implement basic strategies
o Deliver clear and tangible frameworks which clarify the roles and KPIs for channels within the communications plan
o Review and report on the success of campaigns in a clear and standardised way
o Provide future focused media provocation and innovation support

We'd love to meet someone with...

o Experience (agency or client side) in roles directly involved in the development of brand level communications strategies for innovative brands and businesses
o A strong and deep grasp of the online and mobile media landscape and a burning passion to be at the forefront of communications
o A view of communications strategy as a part of the branded customer experience, and a passion for brand level thinking
o Solid commercial acumen and an ability to work with multiple data sources to understand interpret and refine strategy based on tangible results.
o Capable of using consumer, competitive and market data to deliver deep human understanding and interpreting this to inform strategic thinking
o Passionate and upfront about the clients we serve
o An open and flexible approach to communications planning, with a confidence to try new things, to learn and to adapt.
o Capable of creating simple, robust strategies which are easy to understand and implement
o Skilled in the development of robust KPIs through the communications plan and in the interpretation and analysis of campaigns and initiatives
o Highly personable individual who enjoys working in and gets the most out of a team environment
o An excellent communicator who will readily collaborate with a wide range of colleagues within and beyond the marketing function
