The Republican party needs to re-identify itself and work to separate both ideologies. There is a good possibility that Pence can present himself as a strong conservative that does not align with Trumpism post Trump era. There are people who are upset with Trump within the party not necessarily because he riled the rioters but because he put Pence in a risky situation where he and many rioters could have been killed.

I have always maintained that conservative ideology is not primarily reserved for Republicans and not all Democrats are left leaning, Biden's election proved that. Within the Republican party you have left leaning/ moderate citizens even though the bulk are right leaning which is the identity of the tea party.
Obviously, the Capitol Police and security system exercised a significant amount of restraint in managing the riot, else this would have been a carnage. I don't believe the security in the Capitol is that vulnerable to the point where rioters just have easy access into the chambers. There was an obvious/ conscious effort by the security including DC police to allow these rioters take over the Capitol. This would have been a slaughter if ANTIFA/BLM dared such level of invasion.
