Fox had a very bad case against Dominion, and would still have an equally bad case against Smartmatic. Fox might not survive the fall outs of the malicious election lies of election fraud they peddled after the 2020 elections just to pander to the extreme right audience. Watch the summary of the case in this video. It highlighted how screwed fox news were. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NUSOVELsd0 I am impressed by the US judiciary, I can say they are the most important preserver of US democracy. Apart from a few questionable rulings like Judge Aileen Cannon (which was quickly corrected), US were/are largely apolitical. I wish the same can be said for our own judiciary. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

IjeBos: 15k? 15,000? To think that I got ridiculed for having a ‘small, small’ $5,000 in my checking account by people who don’t know the difference between checking and savings and have a tiny fraction of what they laughed at me for having. The jokes really do write themselves. 🤣 We move. 1 Like |

wirinet: Whatever else one can congratulate the US Judiciary for, it can never be for being apolitical. |
Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by wirinet(m): 1:19pm On Apr 26, 2023 |
DeepSight:I believe the US judiciary is largely apolitical at least at the lower levels. The only highly political arm is the supreme court. And that is because recent appointments into the supreme court US based mainly on political considerations. Even at that Supreme court decisions had been largely apolitical until the Trump era. Trump specifically appointed supreme court judges he believed would help him win the 2020 elections and the Republicans were shopping for judges that would overturn Roe v wade and other republican ideologies. 1 Like |

DeepSight: Compared to Nigeria, in the past yes, with an occasional blip Bush v. Gore. But they have become more nakedly political and have become more so post Trump. It's entrenched minority rule. And because Republicans have no desire to lose that minority rule, the Courts are looking more and more so like those in Nigeria. |

benalvino3:You are adept at bringing up one obscure example that no one had heard before (that's after scouring right wing websites), then you scream "whatabout". Why not provide more details of the case - the pleadings, the arguments and the judgement. Did it go all the way to the supreme court? 2 Likes 2 Shares |

benalvino3:How many media was exposed? The only media that was exposed as mired in lies and that has paid and will still pay heavily for its lies is Fox news. News media are allowed to be bias just like any other organization, but to engage in malicious lies that damages the reputation of others and put people's lives in danger is wicked. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

wirinet: all of them. During Bush they were level headed with their bias, Obama? They were Hiding it. with trump, MSNBC leads the pack. Before fox paid, Which media have been paying? Do you have dementia? Fox is still better than the leftwing media. They are biased but they are more diverse in terms of ideology. No conservative view points in other news (MSNBC, CNN etc.) but fox has liberal point of views in their programs. 1 Like |
