IjeBos: We all here know you are dumb. That is a fact. The point here is that you don't get to tell people who live in the country that their lives are better when they say its not. You are not living their realities, 2 in 3 Americans say they are worse economically in the last 4yrs and were better in the Trump years. Obama admitted the economy was better in Trump years though he claimed credit for it, Clinton admitted the economy was better, 2 in 3 Americans say the economy was better under Trump. Kamala even avoid talking about the economy cos its her weakest point rather focuses on abortion. You think all these people don't see or know the data? So 2 in 3 Americans depend on what they hear to know they are faring worse economically in their households? You need to take your medications seriously Inflation rates have been a major point of discussion, particularly peaking at around 9.1% in June 2022—the highest in four decades. Although wage growth has occurred, inflation outpaced wage increases for much of 2021 and 2022, reducing real income. By some metrics, this erosion in purchasing power has been significant for middle-class and lower-income Americans Key essentials like groceries, gas, and housing have seen substantial price increases, For example, gasoline prices surged significantly, contributing to consumer concerns about affordability. In 2022, GDP contracted in two consecutive quarters, sparking concerns of a potential recession. |

IjeBos: Feelings are facts. their feelings are shaped by what they can afford. 90% of the media gaslight them with how good the economy is but where they cannot gaslight them is when they go to the pump or when they buy milk. for some reason, you think about what the people can afford, how much they can save, their buying power, etc. does not matter because data is on paper. the reality is the gasoline price, eggs, milk, housing, etc. These so-called articles do not put food on people's tables. 2 out of 3 people say they are not going in the right direction so there is some disconnect between people in the real world and the data you are presenting. 1 Like |

bemeruca: If those people did their budgets I'm sure they'd have the same percentage of money left over that they did before 2019. As most people get older they learn to reconcile their feelings with facts. They understand that some of the things they fear may not align with facts and try to move their feelings toward those facts. It seems a lot of Trump supporters like you live in a world where feelings are facts. Because you think it, it makes it so. That isn't real life. It's called delusion and the inability to escape your fears. |

bemeruca: Imagine the level of foolishness. Almost 70% of people living in the country, paying bills, buying groceries, paying rents say things are harder than they were under Trump, and his response is to tell them to check the data and chart Its like a sick person in pain or a mother in labor complaining about the intensity of her pain and your response is to tell her that the chart shows she is actually in comfort and not in pain He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches. But since Ijebos still lives with his parents and he doesnt pay any bill, they feed and clothe him so he is allowed to say the most insane things when Obaigwe1 complains about Tinubu economy, show him the data in this report that says its better, Maybe he is just not educated enough to draw his own budget and realize that things are better now like the report below shows https://businessday.ng/news/article/tinubus-1st-year-scorecard-better-than-buharis-report/ 1 Like

IjeBos: Sure, 2/3 of Americans don't know how to do their budget, maybe you can help them with their personal budget. These people don't realize the fact that their lives have been getting better but they are not as educated as you to know that their economic lives is better Reetardd |

raumdeuter: I'm glad you were honest about how you go through life. But, let me give you some free life advice. Feelings are not Facts! I understand why you are a Trump supporter now, you've made it pretty clear. You believe people don't need to learn things, they can understand things through some form of just being. And you Believe what people Feel are indeed Facts. You seem to go through life based on these principles, solely on your feelings. It's anti-intellectual and honestly as I keep saying you don't behave like a Naija dude. Feelings Aren’t Facts |

IjeBos: Every responsible adult pays bills and buy things, they don't depend on their parents like you. So if 2/3 of Americans say they are worse off, I believe them. They live this life and know what they are saying Its because you don't have a job, no education, no family, you are still a dependent at your age which is why you don't know how real life works Get out of your parents basement, go outside, touch grass. experience the real world, get a good education, get real friends, get a GF, start a family. then you will know life better 1 Like |

IjeBos: How are they able to do their budget during trump era and not Biden? You don't have to cope this far. Tim Walz says the economy is not good, many in kamala's town hall asked about their struggle and the economy. When everything rises, rent, groceries, gasoline, even people will feel it because they regularly get to spend on those things and it adds up. Feelings are facts. I don't see how it is not a fact in your world except you are lying to yourself. If you have ever apologized to someone, then you are accepting feelings are facts. If you have ever loved someone or lost someone then you would realize how feelings are fact. Should we care about other people's feelings? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Just like people can fake data, people can fake feelings as well but you cannot tell me 70% of the people saying the country is going in the wrong direction is nonsense. I don't think it, it is the people and I believe the 70% which is also statistics. Try and be consistent, the one who is not accepting fact here or reality is you. 1 Like |

raumdeuter: You are still using perception / "feeling" numbers... how I wish you give me economic policies or economic numbers. I don't debate perception / feelings they are not facts because they are highly subjective. Let me share a funny recent experience with my loving Grandma about "feelings". She was complaining of headache, and she felt the headache she had was too strong for any paracetamol to cure, so she demanded either she be taking urgently to see a doctor or my sister get her a stronger pain reliefer. The problem there was that she couldn't get any stronger pain reliefer over the counter without doctor's prescription. I made a call to them just when they were contemplating on taking her to see a doctor, and my sister told me about it, then I advised my sister to go and get same paracetamol, grind it into powder and put it in a clean container and tell Grandma it's a stronger different medicine. She did as advised and about 10mins later all headache gone and Grandma praised the same medicine she earlier condemned to high heavens, now, she will like to get more of the powerful medicine and bring for us in Nigeria. You see feelings and perception are not fact. |

IjeBos: You see what many of these ignorant folks do not know is that if US carries out mass deportation of all undocumented migrants in US, the economy will immediately contrast. Where are the people to replace them at the factories they work, in many of the hospitality businesses and at the farms? In every community including American communities, there are always few bad eggs... what is needed is to identify these bad eggs and put them away. I listened to John Legend who is from Ohio, on this Springfield Haitians Migrants. Under Trump, a number of the local factories closed down, and some of the youths moved to the cities leaving few elderly people and some lazy youths in that community. When Biden economy picked up, many of these small factories began to operate again, but there were only few lazy workers available... Until some Haitians who are ready to work moved there... Because of the high demand for workers, the few Haitians there invited more of their people to Springfield, that was what led to high influx of Haitians Migrants to Springfield. So they went their to work and rescue the community labor drought and not to practice voodoo, if you pull them out now, many of the small businesses there will fold. |
Re: American Politics Thread - 2024 Elections — Biden’s Presidency! by IjeBos(m): 4:11pm |
ObaIgwe1: 100% right. The Haitian immigrants actually saved Springfield. But the city leaders didn't plan enough for what happens when a city that was contracting starts expanding. Of course social services were taxed. Same with the migrant workers on farms. Look at what happened to Florida's agricultural industry because of their new law. The immigration system needs an overhaul esp when it comes to Asylum claims. But we can't have a real national debate on it. Just catch phrases. |
