They are not ditching the claims of fraud. They are reiterating that electors should be picked as a consequence of the so-called wide-spread fraud.

They realise that their supporters are either refusing to scrutinise court hearing documents or are unable to read and understand them. So in court, they are safely admitting 'no fraud' but in public and on SM, whipping up so much disinformation, that a large majority supports the campaign. This way they can point to the enormous support, when the eventuality of this plan comes to fruition - selection of self-appointed electors to the electoral college.

I think they are preparing for the possibilty of POTUS not giving the case any attention, based on lack of substance in any cases (along with no evidence) brought before the lower courts so far.
