Biden doesn't have many supporters, what he has been getting is the anti Bernie vote. People were voting against Bernie Sanders and not because they love Biden. I do believe that the DNC is waiting to unveil their real establishment candidate and she is Hillary Clinton. There is no way they are going to the polls with the dementia suffering Biden as the candidate.

That would be political suicide and own goal if they nominate someone that didn't even show interest at all. Trump would further use it to butress his point on corruption in the establishment he has been talking about. What I'm suggesting is that they would give him a female running mate (probably Clinton), then if he gets into office they will invoke the 25th amendment and label him unfit to run the country.
