Kogi Speaker tasks Muslims to pray for Nigeria and Kogi State during Ramadan.

Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew O. Kolawole has urged Muslims to pray for leaders at all levels in the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Speaker in a statement by his Press Secretary, Mr. Femi Olugbemi on Wednesday 16th May, 2018; said based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the Ramadan Month is one which all Muslim faithfuls must remain in sanctity and set themselves aside from every form of uncleanliness.


As Ramadan, 1439 commences, the piety, humility, obedience and total submission to Allah's commandments which the Holy month exemplifies must reflect in the conduct of all faithfuls; the statement added.

He urged all Muslims to use this rare and unique opportunity of staying away from uncleanliness and moving closer to Allah to pray for Nigeria and her leaders, emphasizing that the business of making Nigeria better and greater needs all hands on deck.

While asking for special prayers from Kogi Muslims for the State's leadership, he stressed the need to pray for the present day Kogi State Government for Allah's wisdom in surmounting all challenges bedevilling her.

The Speaker wishes all  Muslim faithfuls Ramadan Kareem.
