FighteR M I value you thought a lot, it really make sense but notice that today we have a Black president in the United States and its something nobody believe can happen, as you can see change is one thing that always come in any area of life, Nigeria today is growing wise and the Northerners can no longer fool us, we are talking about electoral reform and time is coming when all Nigerians will focus on the credibility of the candidate and not just  ethnicity.

The national assembly is just a rubber stamp assembly , while state governors are mere puppets. No state can survive on its own, therefore the governors rush to Abuja every month to lobby for handouts, that's were the presidency exert its power.

No sitting Nigerian president has ever lost an election, and if Jonathan decide to run, his likely to follow the normal convention. Its not the northern Governors who decide Nigerian election, its INEC. OBJ 8 years shows how powerful the president can be, virtually OBJ does whatever he likes.

If the supreme court can validate Yaradua's election; which both INEC and Yaradua said the election was flawed: therefore, if Jonathan decide to run, his home and dry.

I'm from Kogi State and to tell you the truth, I've never seen myself as a northerner! Reason; We've never been treated as such by the so called core northerners right from the days of our fathers, thus, some of them claimed Kano and other core northern towns. As it stands now, anyone who sees the old northern province as one is basking in deception!
To address you directly @Pikadily, the middle belt states are to a very large extent free of hausa influence! I grew up in Kogi and I couldn't understand a single hausa word until studies took me to zaria. You would also agree with me that states like kwara and benue have nothing hausa about them. Plateau may have hausa as a common language of communication but the core north has no influence there. The southern kaduna tribes are waking up too! To tell you the bitter truth, the so called northern political prowess that lies 50 percent in the middle belt is tilted now tilted away. public opinion shows that that loyalty of the erstwhile middle belt to the north is gone, believe me.
