Our Fundamental Human Rights Have Gone Down The Drain. by frankoben(m): 9:47am On May 23, 2018
Last night, I was in a bar/viewing center in Aiyetoro Aguda Surulere. The Super eagles vs Athletico Madrid match had just come to an end and I together with other individuals in the neighborhood who had come to see the game since there was blackout(constant) in the area and the bar was running a generator, we hung around to finish up our drinks and some to charge their phones. All of a sudden news reached the owner of the bar that hoodlums who had been terrorizing the neighborhood in recent times were around, so he went ahead and locked up the gate to his compound. Shortly afterwards, we heard banging on the gate and at first we thought the criminals were upon us only for the owner of the house to look out side and discover they were policemen who had come with a black maria and convoy of police vehicles, he felt relieved and opened the gate for them. Immediately they came into the compound these policemen men from God knows where surrounded everyone and asked us to raise up our hands for searching which we complied. After the search they rounded up everybody tied our clothes two people each and then started beating us up, we tried to know our crime but this inquiry attracted more beating and torture. They marched us into the black maria and drove us to Soloki police station in the black maria and from there to a police facility for hardened criminals Lagos state task force office in Oshodi Lagos.

When we got there, they took our names and threw us into a cell that stank to the high heavens, while in there the prisoners fell on us and pummelled us to submission. After a while one policeman came and asked us to come back outside where this man in all white now applied some reason and began to question us one after the other asking about ID cards and places of work. It was afterwards that he now found out those of us they arrested from Whitehouse Aguda were not criminals but law abiding citizens and responsible family men. He freed us by a few minutes to midnight and we had to find our way from Oshodi back to Aguda Surulere by that time of night.

Please what happened to the fundamental human rights of citizens in this country.
