In collaboration with the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB), the Delta State University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the school of Foundation Studies for the 2018/2019 session. Highly successful candidates after an approved examination administered by JUPEB are eligible for consideration into 200 level of the Degree programme of the University through JAMB.

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the JUPEB Foundation Programmes must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in at least five (5) “O” Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB). However, for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing and Pharmacy the 5 O’ level credit must be at one sitting.

All the combinations shown in the table meet the entry requirements for direct admission into Degree Programmes in the Delta State University and other JUPEB affiliate Universities which include, OAU, UNILAG, UNN, UYO, FUTA, FUNAAB, UNIPORT, FUPRE, UNICAL, LASU, FUTO, UNILORIN ,UNIBEN, NDU, ESUT, ABUAD etc.

Duration of Programme

The duration of study is a minimum of one Academic Session of Two Semesters. Successful candidates are to be accommodated in the University Halls of resident in Site II, Abraka.

Jupeb is a different programme, it's almost like predegree but still different. Jupeb is an exam body like Jamb, but it's not all schools that accept Jupeb form of gaining admission. If you pass a school's Jupeb cut off for a department of your choice, you gain straight admission into 200level in that department.

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Medicine and Surgery programme for the 2020/2021 academic session. Applications are therefore invited from suitably eligible candidates for admission into the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) for the 2020/2021 academic session.

This is to notify the general public that the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) will commence admission of candidates into the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme during the 2020/2021 Supplementary Admission.

Admission Requirements for FUTO MBBS Programme

i. All interested candidates who made FUTO their First Choice University in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 220 are eligible to apply.

ii. Those who did not make FUTO their first choice University but scored a minimum of 220 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB website for a change of Institution to FUTO and course to Medicine & Surgery only on JAMB CAPS not later than May 10th, 2021.

iii. UTME subject combination of English Language, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics is applicable. In addition, candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology in one sitting.
