I think the fuss is that most covers take the original concept and just use their own voice. No creative difference at all and at times dont do the original any justice. Falz took the original concept and put his own stamp on it with his own lyrics and video concept. Which created a new narrative. Americans, Nigerians, and people all over the world are talking about it. i suspect the fuss is really more about the content in the video. Created awareness for myself and many others.
