More revelations are emerging in the absence of Chelsea right-wing-back, Victor Moses from the Super Eagles’ camp, as latest feelers indicate that he took time off to mark his wedding anniversary.

Though the official explanation for the Chelsea star’s absence from the Eagles’ squad that opened camp in Uyo and moved to Port Harcourt on Saturday is that he is observing FIFA’s mandatory 10-day rest rule, sources in the team say he equally used it to renew marital vows with his wife.

Based on the recommendations from FIFA, Moses should have joined the national team in Port Harcourt but Monday, May 28 is his wedding anniversary.

However, Moses is said to have used the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, and Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr confirmed that he gave the player permission to report for duty in the Nigerian team when they reach England.

”Victor Moses has one week rest; you know he had a long season. He’s also celebrating the first anniversary of his marriage, so I gave him two days more, he will wait for us in London,” Rohr disclosed.
