You have seen this comment almost four times now but it's the truth: if you can afford to come on nairaland and create threads then you are not a less privileged Nigerian. I doubt you'll also find less privileged Nigerians on Whatsapp groups because they possess the means to buy a luxury commodity [data].

I believe the president is saying the truth. This is one fact we'll find hard to verify unless investigative real life journalism is carried out.
Take for example the 30k monthly scheme, the only time we hear about it on Nairaland is when hiccups occur during payments. We hardly hear when people get paid on time.
Lol.. no one complains when things work.

Maybe the Ghost workers have been receiving it

Even the children's in IDP camps are not fed well talk less of the less privileged in the society.

Investigative reports reveal that the Nigerian soldiers assigned to protect them even rape the girls among them before they are given FOOD while other government officials are selling the food and other relief materials given to these internally displaced people.

The black man is a horrible creature! That is why the white man use a Caucasian for Jesus and a black man for the devil. Sincerely, I don't think they are wrong for doing that

Lesson in life: never believe an old man for being an old man. Do your research for yourself and take responsibility for your decisions.

He has denied that he ever promised anyone cash. Do not blame Buhari but blame Goodluck for choosing to run for a 2nd tenure when he promised to run for one only. He could have handed power over to a more formidable and competent candidate. I hold two people responsible for all the Buhari nonsense. First na GEJ. sencond na Tinubu rotten teeth

GEJ phork up big time and I no go forgive am at all.

They said that Dasuki opened a gate for embezzlers to loot cash. The government has confirmed that they have retrieved cash from embezzlers. How much did they retrieve so far? The public does not know. Is that transparency? After retrieving all those cash Dasuki is still detained without any legal proceedings. Where is due process? See the speed way dem take arraign Dino melaye and charge am to court. Very speedy. Did it happen in Nigeria?

Tell me the northern governor that has been convicted for crimes. Since Mr. war against indiscipline came to power, tell me the politicians that have been sentenced to jail for any crime. And you are telling me that Buhari is working? You think he is doing anything different from the rest?
Al Mustapha killed Kudirat abiola. A man who was sentenced to death for his shocking crime was released by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Environmentalist, Ken Saro Wiwa, a fellow southerner as Goodluck was murdered by the same Al Mustapha and his boss in 1995 For no just reason. All he was guilty of was campaigning for environmental cleansing and depollution of his community. Ken won international awards for his effort as an environmentalist but in Nigeria he was termed a criminal deserving of a very shameful death by hanging.

Goodluck house no get road na creek. The environment is full of toxic gas and chemical substances that cause cancer and many health effects and poverty to the local fish farmers. Goodluck released a serial killer who came out and started campaigning for the presidency. What a remorseless murderer. The once Abiola empire has been reduced to ashes with no one paying for it and not even an apology tendered. And Goodluck is parading himself as the father of democracy. Such a clueless and evil man. Look at the enormous hope people in the Niger Delta and other well-meaning Nigerians had. We all hoped that a man who walked to school without shoes will understand the pain of innocent children suffering in our country. Goodluck does not deserve a bit of respect or recognition. He dinned and wined with murderers and he joined them in their crimes. Such a bad example for husbands and men in entirety. Today, the south is soaked with oil spill while the revenue from the exploration is wired to the north.

This is terrible for the supposedly smart southerners.

Op should make a Live investigation and not asking this question on nairaland as an opportunity to attack what you know nothing about.
If you can nairaland, then you obviously live above $1 a day.

I would imagine the class of people who could be beneficiaries of such can NEVER be found on Nairaland; they wouldn't even know what the internet is.

Don't mind these Nairalanders: they think being theoretically 1% of the population means everyone visits here. A lot of people within my vicinity do not know of the Internet talk less of forums.

Data is a luxury item. It means you're enlightened to an certain extent and can create something lucrative for your self. It also means you do not fall into the category targeted.

If the government gifts you five thousand naira every month there is no way you will appreciate nor put it to as effective a use as a shoe maker whose monthly wage is less than the amount.
You can create something for yourself with 30mb

Hope you have been able to crawl into the Forbes list?

Please explain how unemployed youths find out about potential job opportunities without a phone and data these days. Walking around and knocking on businesses doors? Reading newspapers and posting application letters via almost defunct NIPOST?

How do employers get back to them?Coming to knock on their doors? Posting letters through NIPOST to their addresses?
We are in a digital age now bro, not analog. Everyone deserves to be able to afford phones and data. We are in a country, not in an IDP camp.

You still do not know? Ask the Northerners, Middlebelters and South Westerners how we got here and they will explain.

They thought they were doing Igbos bad by voting for Buhari...funny enough, they are the ones who are hard hit the most.

You're suffering from amnesia, you must have forgotten all the names calling before 2015 elections. May be you think power would remain in the south forever. May be you even thought others owed you. Was Igbo the president in 2015? Did igbo contest in 2015? Why are you making your case as if everything revolved around Igbos?

Please don't start an argument for argument's sake.
If I do a job on Fiverr and get paid, is it not three times the amount of five thousand Naira I'll receive?
If I can read a book on how to make orange juice, is the knowledge not worth more than peanuts from the government?

I laughed at the latter even though this isn't a laughing situation.

It's pathetic and disheartening to see how those in that camp lives. I heard about the sex for food scandal but it never got viral attention. It's quite disturbing that the people in our country are the enemies of the country. Imagine the state of the IDP camps, and somebody is saying the giving of 5k to the less privilege has commenced, who are those less privilege, where else do you wanna see a clear picture of the less privileged if not in those camps.

What criteria was used in selecting them? When did it started and it wasn't announced even by the government's social handle warriors.

Our leaders are comedians and they think we're enjoying their jokes.

37 thousand people in 9 LGAs in Jigawa State, have been receiving these payments every 2 months. I am not a Buhari fan, but truth be told .hese payments have been on for over a year. Beneficiaries in about 19 states are currently being paid this stipend. Please google National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO) under the VP's office.

Its very real and the money comes from Abacha's loot in conjunction with World Bank.
