Concern as IGP Floods Kwara With Undercover Officers

There is palpable tension in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, following the reported invasion of the state capital by a team of undercover police detectives this week from from the office Inspector General of Police.

According to highly reliable sources, the team slipped into the state on a mission to find incriminating evidence against highly placed political figures in Kwara State following the refusal of the suspected cultists, forcefully transferred from the state by the Inspector General of Police despite objections by the state government, to finger high ranking political figures in Kwara State.

While the police said the transfer was for more investigation, the Kwara State Government kicked against the move because the cultists’ suspected crime were punishable under Kwara State laws.

According to sources, the leaked arrival of the IGP team in Ilorin, allegedly in search of fresh evidence without alerting the state police command or state government officials has created fears in political circles on a sinister plan by the police high command to find something to pin on Kwara State Governor or Senate President Bukola Saraki and link them with the suspected cultists. We were informed that despite weeks of interrogation, the eleven suspected cultists are sticking to their earlier confession that their activities were based on conflicts or disagreements among cult groups and were not sponsored by anyone.

As a result, politicians in the ruling party are treading carefully for fear of being set up or having incriminating evidence planted on them. What is even puzzling observers about the invasion of Kwara State by the IGP sleuths is that Kwara has not witnessed political killings which could be linked to the arrested cultists.

And the I G is yet to storm benue,were terrorists are carrying out there agenda almost daily....

Do you know how many robberies that goes on in a daily basis? Because they solved the offa bank robbery means they have rid the country of crime? The Nigerian police itself is a criminal organization that does the bidding whenever it suits them.

The police should team up and head to maiduguru to rid it off the boko haram menace then we can take them serious about resolving to rid the country off crime!!
