Mamoudou Gassama, who just arrived in Paris from Mali a few months ago, scaled several balconies of a building to save a young child, who was dangling from a fifth-floor balcony, on Saturday.

In appreciation of his heroic act, the French government said he will be made a French citizen and offered a job as a fireman.
