Nigeria defender and star of the CHAN team, Stephen Eze has been dropped from the list of players that would be representing Nigeria at the FIFA world cup in Russia.

Coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr had earlier revealed that he would drop five players after the game against Congo.

Eze was however not able to manage a minute in the clash as he was an unused substitute in the pulsating encounter which ended 1-1.

Nigerians expected that Rohr would name the 25-man list before jetting out today but it seems the coach has informed the players who wouldn't make the list.

Eze took to his social media account to announce that he has been dropped from the team. He however wished the team luck.

Reports also revealed that the impressive Junior Lokosa has been dropped alongside Dele Ajiboye and Uche Agbo
