A Nigerian man, Christian Onyematu, has taken to Facebook to advice Africans against prayers which he says are useless. Citing the instance of Liverpool players who were seen praying before the champions league final game they eventually lost to Real Madrid in Kyiv, he said if prayers were effective, Israel and Saudi Arabia will be lifting the world cup every year.

It doesn’t Matter if you’re fasting or Praying to Allah or whatever god to win !

It doesn’t matter if the match its been played right inside Mecca or your so called Paradise !

It doesn’t matter if you fasted before or after the match !

PRAYERS DON’T FUCKING WORK !

He is not wise . God is not a god of soccer . Why does he think God is interested in football?
Moreover , God does not answer the prayers of sinners , which may be the case of the Liverpool player.

Prayers is like making wishes and if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. Praying about everything has truly not worked for Nigerians. Thinking and action is what produces results.

I didn't know who he was neither did I know his name until now.

I was just trying to make a point that he MAY be a sinner and that God is not obliged to answer him , whether Christian or Muslim as long as the person is a sinner , in response to the thread .

Prayer works like never before!.

However, the prayer of a sinner is an abomination before God. The only prayer a sinner makes that is answered is the prayer of repentance.

John 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

So, if one refuses to repent and then thinks he/she can armtwist God to do his/her bidding, frustration is what he will get. Again, patience is a virtue every true believer must possess just like Father Abraham. God makes all things good in His time not ours. Be patient and receive His precious promises.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

The question is, are you truly a child of God?. If not, then there will be difficulty accessing God's blessings. The devil will surely accuse you before God.

God still answers prayers. Don't be discouraged.
