what a wonderful world? I was so amased by dis post initially but on a second taught i came to agree that with or without pockets, they wil stl b nigeria police! If get a pig, wash a pig, comb a pig, a pig wil stil b a pig. Its in their blood evn reorientatiön wil not solve d prob. If u listen to police diarly at every tuesday and thursday at about 8am over d frcn radio, u will see d complaints of nigerians on nigeria police and yet police public relation officer at d headquarter wil always shove them. Most police checkpoints always employed d services of some villager around who comes around d cönductor and collect d money, in case if d driver is new, d police office wil point at d boy 4him to pass to d boy who might come in disguise as a begger. Pocket in their uniform is not d problem bt d people. They need to b sanitised and flushed out starting from Onovo, d IGP.

@poster, then the DPO's table must be made of transparent glasses because 50% of those rogers ends up there and if they fail to deliver, hmm those are the ones that got posted to  Judges or Justice apartments as security. So d problem is from top

lol

How big will the N20 coin going to be? Do you know how big the 1 Naira Macauly coin is.Multiply that by 20 in size and weight.

What we need is a unit that watches other corrupt policemen and stops them from doing this crimes.

And what stops them from slipping money taken in their pants?

There are far better ways to tackle the challenge.

@poster.

I will want to assume your joking. I think thats not the solution to their problem. Its an attitude problem from the government 1st and foremost and the police personnel on the second hand.

Government pays a man a paltry sum of N25k to face armed rubbers without any insurance for their families, the have to buy the uniforms they use for work, buy fuel in their patrol vans. I am not making a case for the police here, as much as i dont like them a bit, the real issue is that before we can castigate the police and pull their balls out, let government make the occupation attractive for qualified people to come and join. Have you ever thought about how police men and the lower cadre are recruited? You will be shocked.

I rest my case.

I hope you realise grads do not earn N25K in NPL. They start at ASP and earn N80K.

It's like you lot are not living in this same Nigeria, they'll simply use touts to collect the money, the biz can't be stopped because of lack of pockets, they are already using touts to collect monies from commercial buses and all that.

Nigerian police uniforms are not the cause of the corruption but the people in the force. Instead of making uniforms without pockets, why not sack all the police force (from IG to korofo) and start a fresh recruitment enforcement standards during selections. Can you compare the Oil company police with our regular police? The difference is clear yet it is the same uniform.

chaircover:

They Should wear Scottish Kilts with no vest or socks  cheesy

, seriously I dont know what the answer is. Even if these people were paid N100K a month, they will just up their standard of living and just start collecting N1,000 instead of N50.
lwkmd.you mean nigeria policemen should wear ''skirt and sweater''.i can't wait to see that being implemented, funny though
