Please phonelanders when we talk of IPS, SUPER AMOLED's, CORNING GORILLA GLASS and others we all know it's functions...But then this 2.5D glass, what exactly does it add to the screen technology wise...Besides not being 2D or 3D either, makes it even more difficult to comprehend...And please don't come and tell me it makes the phone look premium because almost everyone is adopting it now, even tecno...Tech guys abeg come talk your own...

Pictures will make your thread relatable. I'm too lazy to google the subject.

[UPDATE]
Other than the beauty factor there were some side buttons situated at the glass edge of the screen. The incorporation of this glass paved way for a truly buttonless touchscreen experience.

Don't blame the phone manufacturers, if creating one aimless feature or the other puts them at the leading edge of technology almost any company will do it. The risk paid off: most phone companies have their version of the screen nowadays.

Talking about 2.5D glass in 2018 is like talking about infrared technology. Just say it has it and move on.

Oh this curved screen thing. I haven't really found the advantage. I doubt iPhone X has it as a feature. I remember when Samsung released it first they hyped the life out of it.

Just assume it's the same as curved screen OLED TVs: they have no special feature, only a unique look. Besides what other spec is there to improve in phones nowadays? Manufacturers have done everything under the sun. Like useless fingerprint scanners in laptops let them have this one too.

The glass only helps to cover cracks on screen
It's not really strong sef
And once u have this glass on, just forget using a phone case cos the case will keep lifting d glass up making it difficult to type on ur device.
I really hate this stuff sha

OP has deactivated? I wonder why. It's mostly trolls who do so because their aim is only to cause confusion. This one someone asked a knowledgable question I find no reason for him to leave.
Anyway sha, to each their own.
