The Mosque used to be Holy Trinity Catholic Church built at the turn of the 20th century to carter for the rise in German and Italian Immigrants into NY.
It remained open as a church until 2010 when the Catholic Church decided to close it due to many reasons including lack of regular congregation.
It was put on sale where a bar company offered huge amount for the church but was declined until it was eventually sold to the Muslim community
What's more interesting and beautiful is the choice of name for the Mosque, named after the central figure of Christianity with reference to his revered and beloved mother Mary.

Nothing we no dey see for this end time, yesterday in Abuja I saw a section at bus garage with a tag Sheffield at the top, it means it was meant for people going to Sheffield in England

What is killing christianity in certain places is their progressive nature. They've become so progressive that everything unique to the church has been watered down...
