Nigerian reggae artist, Ras Kimono whose debut album Under Pressure was a big hit in the Nigerian music scene in 1989 was said to have died on Sunday.

He was said to have died at Lagoon Hospital in Ikoyi, where he was rushed to after he slumped on Saturday.

Members of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) have confirmed the death of the reggae musician.

Similarly, President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Pretty Okafor, expressed shock when he received the news that the reggae artiste had died.
