The suspects have been arrested including their leader who got N2.7million from the operation and a 400-level female student of Sociology of Ebonyi State University.

Its was gathered by silverbirdng.com that two among the kidnappers confessed to the crime. Okeh who owns a popular hotel in Abakaliki known as Monablis was kidnapped on the night of May 21, in front of the hotel at No 55 Nnorom Street, Mile 50, Abakaliki and taken to a river. He was shot and thrown into the river. Chinonso Desmond, described as the leader of the group, said he shot and tried to kill Mr Oke because one of them who is still at large suspected the businessman knows him...
Loveth Nnenna, The female student of Ebonyi State University, said she was introduced to the group by her boyfriend who was arrested on his way to to the state from Enugu with some guns.
