14 years is merciful enough. In some countries, you would have lost your head.

The prisons are congested? Mr.Dariye, you are a clown. You have never said your bank account is congested when you stole money and you need to decongest it.
Please enjoy your new "suite" with iron bars. Obasanjo went to prison and became President.....Mr.Joshua Dariye, we cannot tamper with your destiny.

This 'food' was the principal reason I supported Buhari to be president. Unfortunately, 3 years after, and we've only been served with a single plate. Hopefully we would get more soon.

You shall die in that jail. You’ve made many people commit crime and ended their lives in jail by making life difficult for them when u are government.

‘'Please, show mercy. I was misled, the prisons are congested’' ex-plateau governor, Joshua Dariye, begged judge in court today

Former Plateau state governor, Joshua Dariye, today pleaded with Justice Adebukola Banjoko to temper justice with mercy as she handed him a 14-year jail term for diverting N1.1 billion from the state when he was governor.

Counsel to Dariye, Paul Eroko, pleaded for the court to temper justice with mercy as his client was misled by some persons.

Counsel to EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs, said Dariye did not deserve a light sentence because he “didn’t show remorse” and that a strong sentence would serve as a deterrence to those holding public offices.

At this point, Dariye said he wanted to speak.

Justice Banjoko afterwards sentenced him to 14 years in jail without an option of fine. Dariye wept as she delivered her judgement.

This thief was handing out crisp 50 pound note to every cleaner and domestic worker at the hotel he was staying in the UK. It became too much for the hotel and the police was alerted.
He even jumped bail, am glad Nigeria punished him seeing that he has no respect for the law or the people.

Ex-governors of Delta state, James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan should be tried for corruptly enriching themselves with the people's commonwealth.

For the past 16 years of PDP administration in Delta state, both Ibori and Uduaghan stole billions of naira.

They should be tried and sentenced to jail for corruption.

THE PDP ADMINISTRATION IN DELTA STATE IS COVERING UP JAMES IBORI AND UDUAGHAN

Okowa is refusing to release the dirty linen of these CABALS.

The stench from their corrupt tendencies while in public office have drag down oil rich delta state to near-nothing.

YOUTH IN DELTA STATE NOW RIDE ONLY KEKE TO EARN A LIVING.

I support this your talk o jare. Fayoshit if you have eyes you better see, if you have ears you better hear cos PMB no dey play ooo. Spend billions on prison now so as to be more comfortable when you find yourself there very soon. Hahahahahaha. I can't wait to see Fayoshit languished in prison and OBJ too. GEJ made him so rich. If not for GEJ who made Fayose rich he wouldn't have have mouth to talk to his elder anyhow now. Fayose was broke as church rats then and he couldn't talk for years when his mates are talking and now GEJ from nowhere raised him from gutter to become governor and now he have balls to talk? Who da hell was Fayose before when he was kicked out as governor. GEJ really tried for this ass hole of a governor.

Orji kalu, TA orji, fashola, Segun oni, bafarawa etc should all be jailed. They are all thieves.

How about the most decorated scammers Tinubu and Buhari, when will the court sentence the former for mindboggling looting? How about the latter, for supervising extra judicial killings & exonerating his kinsmen of corruption charges?
tinubu can only be probe or jail when PDP wins in Lagos and Federal at the same time... If not the matter go just die there

Coward.

He has to serve his time. Has he even returned the money?

Do not be deceived.

Have you met an armed robber begging for his life?they are so convincing that if you are not strong, you will be tempted to beg for their lives to be spared, forgetting that they are killers and have killed.

Same thing with Politicians.

Give a politician in trouble the opportunity to speak to you,and you will forget that he just stole, not just you,but your unborn Grandchildren's common wealth.

Delta State is a classic example, and James Ibori is a hero now and even goes everywhere with Okowa.

As it is with James Ibori so is with Abacha family.
Did Buhari not say that Abacha did not steal our money despite billions of dollars recovered loot from him
Buhari must think we are all fools and APC zombies.
