Nigerians why? But we go school naa. This people wan use our head. You received proceeds from loot and the first thing to do is to share it.. Knowing fully well that is not gonna be possible as the logistics involved will require you spend more money to achieve What is wrong in ensuring no local govt or community lack functioning primary school and health centres or even accessible road.is that too much to ask .abbaaaa THERE IS GOD ooo |

There Is Nothing Like Abacha Loot! The Fund Was Supposed To Be The Refund Of I M F Fund Borrowed By IBB Administration As Abacha Was Not In Par With The Whitemen. The World Bank Refused The Fund To Be Paid At Once So, He Stashed The Money In A Private Account In A Bid To Repay With Time. The Money Accumulate Huge Interests Hence, The Multi-million Dollars As His Loot. I CALL THIS EXCESS ACCOUNT NOT LOOT! THEY CALL IT LOOT TO DEFAME ABACHA. HOW CAN HE SAVE SUCH FUND IN SWITZERLAND WHEN HE IS NOT IN GOOD TERMS WITH THE EUROPEANS? THINK!!! |
Re: FG To Disburse $322m Abacha Loot To Nigerians - Daily Trust by ElsonMorali: 9:40am On Jun 20, 2018 |
senatordave1: There's no basis for that in law. Talk about inequality. What makes you think that only those who are between the ages 18 and 35 need the money the most? If you go to the motor parks you will see old people begging for money to feed. How are they covered in your 18-35 age bracket? There's no way the government will share the money that it will reach even 10% of the poor in Nigeria. You don't share money when you can create wealth instead. All these schemes you mentioned are also sources for siphoning and embezzling public funds in case you don't know. Provide constant and stable electricity and give loans to youths and others who wanna start some form of business. The constant electricity will help their businesses and they will be able to generate income, take care if their family and elderly and maybe even provide employment for one or two people. Do this for 10 million youths and see the difference. Start giving #5,000 to people and see how they will be in perpetual poverty. The Abacha loot is not infinite. One day it will end. For how long do you think the government can provide #5,000 for the youths? Besides the scheme has a shelf life. Once another government comes in they will scrap it and loot all the money. Pour the money now into electricity and create a safe haven backed by law for no-interest or low interest loans to youths. N-Power, K-Power, T-Power or whatever you call it are all just means to enrich a select few while giving pennies to the supposed beneficiaries. |

ElsonMorali:Its not everything that must have a basis in law moreover its not illegal or unlawful.disbursing money directly to citizens is under the auspices of the government and a primary duty.your plan is good but unworkable.if obj budgeted 16 billin dollars for power and theres none, what will 300 million do? Your plans are long term while the needs of the masses are immediate and need short term solutions.check the budgets of all the states, local and federal governments you will see that a what you outlined is enshrined thete yearly but where is the result? 30k monthly is still better than budgeting for a power plant that would be uncompleted. |

They will never share the money lailai but if they really want to use a database, they should use INEC'S list of registered voters and give them(us) $1m each and see what we will do with it but financial experts will come up with some inflation ish. |

And of course according to Buhari Abacha never stole a dime. Zombies have no shame at all. In another 10 to 20 years, they will use one SW academic to publish a "scientific paper" about how Abacha only saved money abroad for Nigeria. That people erroneously labelled the monies as loot. Somebody from the acclaimed educated and sophisticated zone will surely do Northern bidding one day. It might seem far-fetched now but just wait. They are already claiming Abiola never took money from ITT. It will take only one bold populist Northern ruler/president to declare Abacha a hero and SW will follow suite. El-Rufai can do it to garner favour from the large Kano State electorate should he ever make it to the presidency. Rewriting history is something we are very good at. 1 Like |

BeeBeeOoh: Unfortunately Ms Ibekeaku-Nwagwu, has no clue about the disbursement. I wonder where someone from Jahun in Jigawa state is going to register online and the targeted beneficiaries are not literate. The mechanism for the proposed disbursement is being handled by World Bank and it is meant to reach 1m people in the 36 States and FCT. Unfortunately no one on Naira land is qualified for this payment besides the money is only N5,000 monthly. |

Instead of the foolish people to use that fund to build infrastructure that will create jobs for Nigerians like more train stations, good and pliable roads, improve the Agricultural sector. They want to share money that will still come back to their pockets. Idiots!!! |
Re: FG To Disburse $322m Abacha Loot To Nigerians - Daily Trust by Belluchii: 10:36am On Jun 20, 2018 |
it is a good thing that the government has decided to invest in people again by disbursing the recovered Abacha loot. it is also good that the poorest members of the community will be registered online, and before they make any payment, they must have an ID number so that every payment would be tracked. No amount will be paid out without a joint signature between Nigeria and the World Bank and without identification. With the kind of strategies that this administration has introduced, i know that this project will be achieved. 1 Like |

senatordave1: Was that the manifesto Oga?,when they were campaigning they said they were going to pay the unemployed youths 5k a month,so y did they not live up to the expectations and yearnings of the people or instead they should have weighed appropriately things they knew were achievable politically and not mix everything together all cos they wanted to get into government by all means and this is what is seriously affecting them now because they made a lot of unacceptable and unachievable promises that re now hunting them.. |

Dear president Buhari, Top of the day to you. I sincerely think you should negotiate and invest that mouth watering sum back into small scale business owners with proof of business registration and bank statement in the last six months this fund will.be managed by banks with 2% CBN and commercial bank interest charge and 4% interest rate for the business borrower respectively, since there are no free launch in the world. With the above in place, it will reduce fake business fraudsters and aid businesses to employ more workers as a condition for accessing the loan, thereby reducing unemployment. Dear president, no economy strives without a striving real economy. I Look forward to a greater Nigeria. Your citizen, papascode. C.c. presidency. 1 Like 1 Share |
