Barack Obama Separated Kids From Parents at the Border Too

Apparently, abused kids only matter if they can be uses​ to attack Donald Trump.

There is a lot of leftwing outrage at Donald Trump for deciding to separate children from their parents at the border if they are illegal aliens. The left, in fact, went nuts over an ACLU report that showed rampant child abuse from children detained without their parents. The problem was that the report covered 2009-2014, a period when Barack Obama was President.

Members of the media who blew up the story quickly deleted tweets once they found out Barack Obama was in charge. Apparently, abused kids only matter if they can be used to attack Donald Trump.

The reality, however, is that the report related to unaccompanied minors and what happened to many of them. The documented abuse was horrific. But the facts of the report should not overshadow that Barack Obama also separated children from parents at the border in some cases. It was not common and Donald Trump seeks to make it the policy default, instead of the exception. But it happened.

Often it happened because there was a suspicion that the parent of the child was not really the parent. In more than one case, people brought otherwise unaccompanied minors with them even though there was no family relation. Still, there were cases where actual parents were separated from their children during the Obama years. It did happen.

The abuse happened too. The abuse of the children was awful and a government that is too incompetent to secure its own border should not be trusted with taking children from their parents and placing them in a foster program where abuse is well documented.

It was a bad idea when Barack Obama did it and it is a bad idea now. I wish the pro-life community would get as upset with ripping a child from his mother's arms as the community does over ripping a child from his mother's womb. The illegal act should not be met with the evil act of separating a child from his parents -- particularly when we have so much documentation of abuse in the program into which the children will be placed.

If this is supposed to be a deterrent, perhaps the government should just kill the kids. After all, if taking children from parents is a deterrent, surely killing the children will be even more of a deterrent. At this point we're just arguing about degrees of evil and monstrous acts.

We should not respond to illegal acts with evil acts. What we should do is build the wall ASAP.
