and it turns out that YouTube is already becoming stale and crowded.

well, I don't think they'd be rivals, I think those creators that are crowding YouTube would actually leave for IGTV and what would be left would be the hard core professionals.

eventually, this would make YouTube a more serious platform. so everybody wins.
