Ghana are still the remaining lone star for Africa; Cameroon should just start packing their bags to leave. Where are those people calling God and the Angels? Hard work has no substitute.

Blatant lie. Naija had A GAME PLAN, these Camees think its cos they are big and strong they can just bully the Kami Kazees, the Japanese have not lost to any African team in their 5 encounters, and they aren't looking like letting up now. Best i see is a draw 4 Cameroun. And stop that silly comparison, we played beta, just with tougher opponents u shmuck (Thor)

WHAT A COMEDIAN ! ! !  grin  grin

"Japan vs Cameroon

Despite their poor friendlies, Japan is still good if not better in this encounter, they have a well organized defence. I wonder why the bookies favoured Cameroon. I got a call from my friend based on this analysis and he asked me, are you sure that Japan will win this match, did you see their odd. My answer was a resounding YES. When I analyse football I am not sentimental at all even if Nigeria were the one playing. I even did it with Nigeria vs Argentina I said Argentina will win, you can check that out in my signature. This is business and I treat it as one.

Anyway based on the issue at hand. Japan are tactical and with talented players like Honda, Inamoto, and Nakamura they should be able to take over the midfield.

Nonetheless with recent  rumours of problems in the camp and the issues between Eto'o and Cameroon legend Roger Milla have been well-documented in recent weeks so I am not convinced they'll form a united front against Japanese. Apart from that Cameroon's biggest weakness is scoring goals. Le Guen said he hate playing well organized defence like Japan. Alexandre Song might not play.

Hey guy, you made a good post with your first sentence but you 're completely out of line with the highlighted comments. God does reward Hardwork and the Bible calls it dilligence, yep , d-i-l-l-i-g-e-n-c-e!!! alright? BTW there's what is called FAVOR also, something beyond hardwork and God can crown you with that if He so wishes but He does really reward hardwork,

It's quite shameful that Japanese of all people beat Cameroun after barely 35 mins of the match.

African Countries are performing badly in the World Cup this year except of course South Africa and Ghana.

First Nigeria lost to Argentina, then Algeria lost to Slovenia, Cameroun lost to Japan.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Nigeria get defeated by Greece.
undecided

Jeese, Cameroon loose to Japan?  shocked shocked No way! Japan is not a strong team, not like South Korea. Maybe Cameroon is in a really bad shape or they underestimated the opposition. Occasionally pedigree footballing Nations loose to minnows, this match has to be considered in those terms.

These Asians, that are always sucking up to Oyingbo, are going to have bragging rights at this rate!

Just have ta wish 'em (Cameroon) better luck next round.
Re: World Cup 2010: Japan Vs Cameroun [1 - 0] On Monday June 14th 2010 by marutimon: 5:15pm On Jun 14, 2010
I don't know why people are thrashing Nigeria. Nigeria played a very decent game against Argentina. It's not like Nigeria were favourites for any result, but they were inches away from grabbing a draw.

And the played miles better creatively than Cameroon did. And were much better in every aspect of the game than Cameroon. Nigeria still look good for the second spot.

Cameroon - I have never seen them play so badly. It's much worse than at the African Cup of Nations.

Football is very predictable especially when African teams are involved. I do not know who Ivory Coast is playing but guess what, without Drogba they will not win that match.

For the records only 1 African team and that being Ghana has a chance of going to the next round.

Anything is possible in football. No team came to the world cup for excursion or site-seeing.

I would really blame the coach for how badly Cameroon played:

PAUL LE GUEN'S 'S GUIDE
HOW TO LOSE A GAME AS CAMEROON'S COACH WITH JAPAN IN AFRICA:

1. Bench Africa's best keeper, who can pull off the spectacular save. Replace him with a keeper who managed to let in 4 cheap goals (a cheap penalty inclusive) in your previous friendly.

2. Try out 10 variations of your defensive line - inclusive of testing 10 players in your right back position - and than play a new one when the world cup starts. All because your most trusted and creative right back made one very silly mistake in one game.

3. Play three defensive/holding midfielders with the most offensive of them (Makoun) played the deepest.

4. While playing three defensive midfielders have your best defensive midfielder sit out the whole match on the bench.

5. Play a 18 year old defender with 2 caps (Joel Matip) as your creative midfielder, whilst you have at least two quality attacking midfielders to choose from on the bench.

6. Play with absolutely no creative midfielders. Especially your star creative midfielder (Emana).

7. Play your star striker as a right winger.

8. Knowing you are extremely low on quality in the attack department (apart from your star striker) play three strikers.

9. When 1:0 down at the break after a terrible half by your team against a side you are expected to win with wait until the 60th minute to make a substitute. Then wait until the 75 minute to 'change the game'.

10. Wait until the 85th minute to tell your players to shoot from distance.

Did I miss anything?

Bro, are you a wizard? During a discussion yesterday I asked my fiancee a similar question that why is that some people remain blessed in all ways despite the fact that they do not deserve it. It is unbelievable that am coming across the same answer to my question from two different people under 24 hours. She used King David as an example who was a murderer and also committed adultery but still found favor in the eyes of God. I pray that we African, especially Nigeria found favor in the eyes of God to win this World Cup. Nothing is impossible

Re: World Cup 2010: Japan Vs Cameroun [1 - 0] On Monday June 14th 2010 by Litmus: 5:32pm On Jun 14, 2010
Nigeria's group in my opinion is the second toughest. Greece was European Champion not long ago. Sure, they have lost form recently but teams that win major competitions are always one-step away from recapturing form. Greece lost to Korea; they will fight harder against Nigeria in order not to be eliminated. South Korea work hard, they are annoying and can score goals and of course, many consider Argentina one of the favourite to lift the World Cup. Nigeria is unlucky to be in this group. Actually, I have noticed that for the past two years of competitions Nigeria have somehow ended up in the tough groups.

Nigeria, I believe, is at least as good as Argentina, in spite of everything that has gone before. We can defeat both Greece and Korea but we have to recognise that we are in for a fight and welcome that fight with self-belief. If we don’t we're going to be defeated by both Korea and Greece.

Very disappointing loss! And why the hell is Ghana leading the way? angry

It should be Nigeria or South Africa, not Ghana!
