As for Fashola, he will always flourish and be relevant irrespective of who controls Lagos political structure. Most people see him more as a technocrat than as a politician. Successive government respective of party will always engage him for what he can offer.

Considering the office was zoned to Sokoto state it strips Elrufai of any influence of who get it since APC has a Governor in the state that is not openly anti-Buhari. Had it been Wamakko and Tambawal were anti-Buhari, Inuwa would either repledge his loyalty or be dropped.
