The Benin monarch, Omo’noba Erediauwa summoned all his chiefs, traditional worshippers to assemble on Thursday to place a curse on the brains behind the deteriorating level of security in the city. The Oba who gave this directive through the Iyase of Benin, Chief Sam Igbe, during a meeting with the Enigies, Igie-Ohen in Benin, said the pronouncement of the curse would take place at the traditional Urhokpota hall. The Information Officer, Benin Traditional Council, Robinson Osayanmwen, in a statement said, all those involved in kidnapping, assassination, robbery and other violent crimes in the state would be cursed. “The monarch also requested that the Enigie, Igie-Ohen, Edionwere, market women and other traditional worshippers should come with whatever they have to ensure that these evil doers in our state are wiped away for peace to reign in the state,” it stated. Loveking no mind them. People have become too westernized that they forget that there are forces in this world beyond the natural eyes. Forces are indeed there whether for good or evil. Even if these curses are backed by demons, the thieves, kidnappers, etc by virtue of their crime have renounced their rights to Gods protection. May the curses consume all the kidnappers and other bastards that are compromising Edos security 2 Likes |

~Bluetooth:The conference of curses that is about to be proclaimed is incomparable in the history of the ancient city of Benin. The Igbinedions only received "text message" curses under poor network. This is going to be 3d video calling curses with digital network. All kidnappers beware. If you know any just warn them for the fate that is about to befall them. |

Nigeria should have a National Day of Cursing and Swearing. On the allotted day, Nigerians gather together, whether huddled together as families or at work, to rain all manner of imprecations on evil doers in the country. |

~Bluetooth:What has education got to do with your personal beliefs? Do you think christainity and islam are the only religions that attract educated men? What about hinduism, buddism, scientology? Are they bereft of scholars? Please dont expose your lack of brain cells here. Now back to the topic, 2 Likes |

It is difficult for those people who are used to seeing their monarchs attending birthday, wedding or any other free party chopping jollof in between wife battering and dancing to yahoozee on Bisi Olatilo Show to really understand the reverence with which the Omo no Oba N' Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa, The Oba of Benin is held by his people. For us, our Oba, who is internationally respected is dear to us, when he speaks we listen. Oba Ato Kpere - Ise 1 Like |

@ sapele, i agree with you, the oba of benin ,i have great respect for unlike the oni of ife, alafin of oyo and some pseudo oba clowning around the universe, my point is, it is a shame that the cult factor have its deep root in benin, hence the resent appalling killings in benin. by relying solely on the psychology of the curse only will not work. |

The loss of our heritage to western civilization is wat we are suffering from in africa, thank God the bendelites still rever their monarch, who has seen the oba of benin in any stupid birthday party? when the oba speaks every one listens, this should be a daily routine, due to the huge no of people who have lost their moral compass .I just pity people who run down their own heritage, how do u intend to develope? With other people,s culture? I see were it as gotten u. Continue in disney land! |
