The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has asked President Buhari not to grant the request of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for him to intervene in the death sentence passed on five Christian youth in Adamawa state as nobody or organisation is above the law.

The five men namely Alex Amos, Alheri Phanuel, Holy Boniface, Jerry Gideon and Jari Sabagi, were on June 13th, sentenced to death by a Yola High Court for “willfully and intentionally conspiring and attacking three herdsmen rearing cattle at Kadamun village in Demsa local government area, killing a herder in the process” in January 2017.

If I am not wrong, the five Christians chased the herdsman(who was accused of leading a gang to slaughter 48 people) to a river where he drowned. I am not in support of that, but it's quite amazing that the Nigerian law only becomes effective when the Northern Muslims are on the receiving end. Same way the military only became effective when IPOB became a threat yet were nowhere to find as Fulani's continue to commit genocide across North East and Central. God bless CAN for continually giving Christians the needed united political representation in this insane clime.
