Re: World Cup: South Africa Vs Uruguay (0 - 3) On Wednesday 16th June 2010 by tipster: 9:24pm On Jun 16, 2010 |
@ 1st page(tipster) South Africa vs Uruguay This tournament has really shown that there is nothing like superior side, with what just transpired between the so call ‘Super’ Spain vs Switzerland with Swiss trashing Spain with a lone goal and Spain taking all the possession. Anyway back to what we have in hand South Africa vs Uruguay. Uruguay have higher chances of carrying the day with excellent strikers like Abreu, Forlan, and Suarez and Gargano coming back to the middle, in my preview, I think Uruguay are better prepared and positioned to win this game not minding home advantage. South Africa, going by their first encounter between Mexico which the Mexicans lost a lot of chances in the first half and the game ending in a 1-1 draw. I don’t think they will have that luck against Uruguay side today because the Uruguay are so organized with killer strikers. I give kudos to the bookies for the excellent odds for this game, because I didn’t give any second thought on Uruguay. Prediction: Uruguay to win ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uruguay won |

Suarez jobbed the keeper and he fell for it. But there was contact and the keeper didn't touch the ball. Foul in the box, last man, and denying a goal scoring opportunity. Definitely a penalty. Referee had no choice. The FIFA people scrutinize every decision after each match and I'm sure the guy doesn't want their wahala. I hope SA fans don't kill the poor guy sha. |

a) It was offside. b) The opposing player was diving. c) The GK barely touched Suarez and did nothing that would cause him to fall over. |

I don't know how what commentary you guys are watching in naija, but this shows you people know nothing about football. There was contact period and the ref was fair. EVEN SHAUN BARTLETT WHO IS THE IN STUDIO ANALYST HAS SAID THAT IT IS A PENALTY. |

south africa can still qualify but they will need to beat france Emphatically to stand a good chance. but beating france Emphatically is next to impossible. |

buzugee: Easy. No need to resort to gay p@rn. Seriously though there's still hope. Beat France and you have a very good chance to qualify. I get the feeling Nigeria is going to be in the same position. |
Re: World Cup: South Africa Vs Uruguay (0 - 3) On Wednesday 16th June 2010 by marutimon: 9:42pm On Jun 16, 2010 |
well, with the three goals against RSA have to hope for a France-Mexico draw in the next match. Only that result maximises South Africa's chances in the last game, |

and that was a clear penalty. Clear as day. South African team is simply not good enough |
Re: World Cup: South Africa Vs Uruguay (0 - 3) On Wednesday 16th June 2010 by Nobody: 9:44pm On Jun 16, 2010 |
Its a penalty and the referee was spot on. Even if the match is played in Nelson Mandela's farm, any referee who know their rules and are worth their profession will send off the S.African goal keeper and award a penalty. |
Re: World Cup: South Africa Vs Uruguay (0 - 3) On Wednesday 16th June 2010 by kenerep: 9:45pm On Jun 16, 2010 |
In a game largely dominated by the Uruguayans the referee has tainted a roller coaster win with sheer stupidity and probably racism and has put the question into my mind again, how come it is a white man that ref whenever an african country and any other country not from africa is playing? Is fifa going to say there is no ref that is black and not from africa that is worthy or being in the middle. Whether we like it or not this controversies will never cease racism is not an african thing it belongs to the whites! Now it has rared its uglky head in our own tournament! The red card was not only illegitimate the player was offside but the lines men and the the ref did not see that but the penalty what a cheap way of winning. Samuel Eto'o was asked the question can an African team win the world cup he answered an African team will win the world cup when FIFA wants it to! |
