@tabarity, tnks so much. So ur saying I should concentrate on US AND CANADA right?? Also, how do I take the GRE? Also pls, how abt financial aids or scholarships? wat are my chances of getting that? what schools do I apply to increase my chances of getting that because it will be a real mess for me if I do the GRE which i hear costs a lot, get admission but not financial aid or scholarship. Also, i plan on being on a 4.5(at least) by the end of my my 3rd year, but are you saying I dont have a chance wiv 4.12/5.0 Your replies will be appreciated.

There are 5 schools actually:

UofA
UCal
Memorial university
Dalhousie
University of Regina.

I have the 2:2 disease and I'm not sure there's hope. I have tried all the schools but some1 was going on about a postgrad diploma program on another thread on here. On it he says it's possible to get into the diploma program first and then the MSc later. I have my 1st degree in Chemical Engineering (2:2). I want to get into one of these 5 Canadian schools that have MSc options in Petroleum Eng but it's proving impossible what with their requiring 2:1 and all that. Pls HELP ME!!!

Hello everyone

I found this thread very helpful and I appreciate all the advice you have given @SEFAGO, @Tabarity et al

pls I need your advice. I m a recent graduate of elect/elect engineering with
4.26/5.00 cgpa. from a good Nigerian fed university.
I have little knowledge about the industry and postgraduate studies abroad. I
intend pursuing a career in the industry mainly oil and gas. The wide options i
have in mind for masters now are :

1. Cranfield university for process systems Engr.
2. Elect/elect Engr. @ university of Leeds
3. Controls systems in any reputable university
4. Advanced control systems at Manchester
5. Subsea Engr. in Aberdeen.

pls which ones are better in terms of:
1. employment prospects (opportunities) after masters
2. The reputation of the university and their quality/standard
3. The value of my masters degree
Any other recommendation for studies in other countries like US and Canada would be appreciated
Thanks in anticipation
Concerned graduate.
