Nonsense talk from mikel, u can’t eat ur and still have it. After ighalo had lost the opportunity to score the ball, u come dey protest for penalty. My question is, if ighalo had scored the goal would u still protest the goal be canceled that the referee shld give u a penalty. |

blackgold90: Ball to hand comes into play when another player kicks to ball to a defaulting player's hand. Even some instances such ball to hand had been ruled an infringement. A player simply cannot kick the ball his or her hand and calm ball to hand. As matter of fact, if Rojo did not use his hand to misdirect the trajectory of ball toward Ighalo, the goofy Nigerian striker would have had clear path to score rather than the miss. 3 Likes |

Hisses..... If the VAR or whatever had given us second penalty, Nigeria's qualification won't be as celebrated as it would have been, if Mr Igahalo scored. We are really bad losers. Lame excuses sir... |

blackgold90: Whether penalties or own goal, nobody wants to know that one. The main point is that we played well but we were not good enough to trash weak Argentina, even if we had qualified France will still trash us. |

Ighalo lost us the chance of qualifying simple. Messi would have scored that ball. Even Ahmed Musa would have put it at the back of the net. Football is about taking your chances. Better luck next time. I believe we should maintain this coach until the next world cup. If no improvement then sack his as.s |

Dedetwo:When the ball comes of a players body before touching his hand and if that players is in a position where he can't control his hand, it's not a foul, whether it happened outside the penalty area or inside the 6 yard box. |

If Ighalo had scored the rebound off Rojo's hand, would there be any need to beg the referee or VAR for a penalty |

Silly statement from someone like Mikel who's had the opportunity play with professionals. I'm surprised he didn't realise that VAR favoured them when they awarded a penalty in favour of Nigeria during the Argentina game. |
Re: Mikel Obi Suggests VAR Favours Big Countries At The World Cup 2018 by practicalclass: 4:05pm On Jun 29, 2018 |
Is it VAR that decides the judgement. VAR only shows an up-close Replay for the referee who then decides the judgement. |

See how VAR favoured Germany by sending them home And how it also favoured the host over Uruguay VAR must be evil for holding Ighalo's legs. |

Koolking: You probably didn't follow this World Cup well... Go and check the controversies surrounding the World Cup on this VAR thing. Portugal vs iran comes to mind A particular post that made FP the day before the naija match spoke about the VAR thing too. I'm not blaming VAR for our loss. Argentina deserved that win with the way those otondos were playing after equalizing. But that rojo handball was a clear penalty 1 Like |

Absolutely true. Any fault in the box against England is penalty ( sport kick) the whole world new its a clear penalty, because Rojo knows quiet well that he miss the ball, then click his hand. The referee was 99% wrong |
