Whether penalties or own goal, nobody wants to know that one. The main point is that we played well but we were not good enough to trash weak Argentina, even if we had qualified France will still trash us.

Ighalo lost us the chance of qualifying simple. Messi would have scored that ball. Even Ahmed Musa would have put it at the back of the net. Football is about taking your chances. When the ball comes of a players body before touching his hand and if that players is in a position where he can't control his hand, it's not a foul, whether it happened outside the penalty area or inside the 6 yard box.

It was actually VAR that help Korea.
Fifa introduced the fair play rule on march 1 but it became effective from june 1 2018
Fair Play was the reason portugal were second after matchday 2. spain had 1 yellow card while portugal had 2.

If Ighalo had scored the rebound off Rojo's hand,

Nigeria with more than 180million people is a big country if you ask me. In the current world cup tournament the only small countries are Iceland and Panama with less 5 million people.

Nigeria was not even considered an underdog based on their experience in world cup tournaments and individual experience in intl club football.

It's a misconception VAR favours any country. Nigeria were just poor in the tournament, their best effort was against Iceland.
