No fewer than 500 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos on Tuesday defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that they defected at an elaborate ceremony held at the APC secretariat in Ikeja. The defectors, from the 57 councils in the state, were led by a former PDP chieftain, Mr Elijah Awodeyi. They were received into their new party by the APC Chairman in the state, Mr Tunde Balogun. We need more psychiatric doctors to treat political madness disease. How can people be defecting to a party we want to chase out. Nigeria is indeed corrupt. |
