Vacancy for Manufacturing Production Optimization Expert (in consulting capacity)

We urgently need AN EXPERT or one highly experienced in production optimization to play this role in a manufacturing environment (in consulting capacity).

Job Description (Terms of Reference)

• Plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
• Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently by effectively planning and organising production schedules as well as overseeing production processes
• Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment; regularly evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime
• Determining appropriate quality control standards
• Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
• Ensure that all production activities in Morison are cost effective i.e. Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
• Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Meets regularly with different production department heads, to ensure they are meeting the production budget and schedule
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems

Education and Experience

• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
• Knowledge of machines and tools
• Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices
• Solid computer skills
