World Cup Predictions For Group E by Jencejyde(m): 11:54am On Jun 09, 2010 |
It’s time to take a look at which teams are likely to make it past the group stages during this year’s World cup in South Africa. Group E looks interesting and very tricky; nevertheless I’ll just give it a shot. This group finds Holland, Denmark, Japan and Cameroon together. Four teams with a diversified, but abundant record in world football. This group may have just been thrown wide open with news suggesting that Arjen Robben, arguably the Netherlands best player is likely to miss this summer’s finals in South Africa Irrespective, I expect Holland to win this group. Even without their star man who has been in the form of his life with Bayern Munich, they have enough quality with the likes of Van Persie, Wesley Schneider and Dirk Kuyt in the attack. You may not agree with me on this one, but I see them as the Dark horses rather than tournament favorites. If Robben were to stay fit, throughout the tournament, then maybe they would be in the last four. Denmark won their qualifying group, which was not an easy task. This group featured Portugal and Sweden. Looking at this on paper, you will quite frankly agree with me that the Danes deserve to be in South Africa. The Portuguese teams were very unconvincing regardless of the fact they have Ronaldo on their Team. The Swedes seem to be a shadow of themselves and never really got into gear from the very beginning. Not even Zlatan could help their cause. Denmark’s qualification against the odds makes them a team to watch out for. Cameroun used to be a powerhouse in African football, (Egyptian’s may think, otherwise) but having failed to qualify for the 2006 World cup, together with a ‘not too impressive’ quarter final appearance at the last African Cup of Nations, they seem to have lost their flair. Despite all these recent shortcomings, the Indomitable Lion’s still have the arsenal to compete at the highest level. Sincerely, I admire the Japanese. They have great fans who cheer their team with pride. They are very passionate about their football and really love the game. Japan plays very well as a unit but lack the talents to make an impression on the big stage. They have played a couple of friendly matches producing mixed results this year. They human had rattling integrated results, and though they examine organized, they don't seem to deal to pressure that fine. Bearing that in mind, my predictions would be Holland (Group winners) Cameroon (Runner’s up) Denmark Japan I may be wrong considering the fact that anything can happen in football. If you have opinions of your own as to how Group E would turn out, then be my guest and share your thoughts.Check out http://sportsview-ofjide..com/ for more. Have you hear about 1 goal?
