If you already have a premium SSL certificate enabled on our account and wish to switch to our free SSL certificate all you need to is not to renew your premium SSL and you will be automatically switched to our free SSL.

Does the Free SSL Show Browser Warning?

No. No browser warning. It is not the same as a self signed SSL certificate The service is provided by Let's Encrypt and is as good as every valid SSL certificate. The only difference is that it available free to all accounts hosted on our servers.

How to Activate the Free SSL

There is no installation required and no special configuration is necessary within cPanel to use the free SSL You will only need to enable it within your website. If you use a content management system like Joomla, you can enable it within the global configuration area. Same will be for ever CMS like WordPress. Simply check up the tutorial in our knowledgebase on how to enable SSL for your website.

Generally, a simple code imputed into your htaccess file will be enough to force ssl on all your pages. To do this on a add the following code to the bottom of the file.
