Former CBN Governor, Adamu Ciramo is dead.

Adamu Ciramo was said to have died at Turkiush Hospital in Abuja at the age of 84.

The deceased was a founding member of the People ’s Democratic Party , and also the finance minister during the first term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Ciroma served as Minister of Finance in the government of Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2003.

He was Assistant Secetary to Sardauna Presidential Aspirant 1979 and 1992, Member of Kaduna Mafia, Former MD NNN, Former CBN Gov ,Former Minister of Agric ,Former Minister of Industry Trade and Investment, Former Minister of Finance also Founding Member of PDP.

Ciroma was CBN Governor between September 1975 and June 1977. He was Finance Minister at the start of the Fourth Republic, between 1999 and 2003, during the first term of President Olusegun Obasanjo in office.
He was also Chairman of Obasanjo’s 2003 re-election campaign organisation.
In 1983, he chaired the Presidential Transition Committee in 1983.
