Here’s everything you need to know when registering a group of companies in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

The only appropriate entity for a group is a Private Limited Company (LTD) Business names can not form a group of companies.

However, the share capital for the group must be greater than the share capital of its largest subsidiary .

Also, all companies under a group must have common shareholding. i.e The there must be evidence of common ownership among the subsidiary companies

1.Photocopy the approved RG's Consent letter.
2. Photocopy the registered business name certificate.
3. Photocopy the payment receipts of Annual Return of the Biz name (if applicable).
4. Make sure you have money in your account for fresh name search payment.
